Diddy opens the show saying that it's almost time to make a band. He's not sure what he's gonna do, but he's brought in a couple of people to help him decide. First, Jamal (new choreographer) will have them dance. Then, producer Bryan Cox will take them into the studio to see how they do there.

Brian A. and Michael both talk about how they're picking up the steps. Julius has to sit out, of course, and is bummed out. Brian says that they are picking it up because Jamal's really breaking it down. They seem to do well. Donnie talks with Jamal about being the white boy... and Jamal says that he needs to get it right in his mind and be confident. Jamal helps him and Donnie thanks him.

We see Julius having a conversation with his girlfriend. She pep talks him and leaves him in better spirits than when he started the conversation.

The next day, we're at Daddy's House. Bryan Cox is in the studio (Jack Knight is here, as well). It'll be the contestants first time recording in a studio during the show. They're going to give them a song to sing. It's the Making the Band theme song. They are gonna take it home, get it down and then come back and record. He mentions Diddy will be here Monday - so, they have 1 day.

We switch back to them at the house with all of them working on the song. They seem to be doing fine while some of them talk about how hot the track is.

When I found out that I was probably going to interview B5, I knew what I had to do. I had to put it out there to the fans: what do you want to ask them? So, we put out a call on Bad Boy Blog and BadBoyForums.com. The response was overwhelming. We received approximately 300 questions. From those, I asked them 15 of your questions (not 16 as I had said before - I forgot one, sorry!) Thanks again to everyone who submitted - I hope that you enjoy the interview.

I have to say that it can be very hard to pick their voices out from one another at times. So, with some of these, I am not 100% sure. A big thanks to wadrkhadija for helping me to pick out some of the voices. Most of them are correct, but a few might not be. On ones that I was really unsure on, I've noted that it's a guess.

B5's sophomore album, "Don't Talk, Just Listen", will be in stores, September 11, 2007. Without further ado, the Bad Boy Blog interview of B5:

J Dot (UBG): What is the biggest compliment someone has ever given you and that you try to live up to?
Patrick: This guy named Jason who used to be with Bad Boy and who is now with Jive gave us a very good compliment. He gave us these t-shirts of the Beatles and he said “keep working hard because soon you will be like them.” That’s what sticks out in my mind.
Kelly: The Beatles are like pretty much the biggest artist ever out. The Beatles and Michael Jackson are the biggest artists in history. For him to say that in that way is really cool. It made us feel really good inside.

Laurie Ann was kicked off/left Making the Band 4 in last night's episode. I watched the replay of it probably 15-20 times so that I could accurately describe the scene in my entry, so I thought that I would sit down and put some thoughts out there.

First of all, I have to say that I've found Laurie Ann a fair bit annoying this season. It's TV and it's entertainment, but she seemed to be overdoing it for the camera way more than anyone else. So, assuming it's not one big publicity stunt, I think this was building up.

Earlier in the show, she's the only judge we see to shout out praise. After Dan performs, she says "yes!" loud enough so that everyone can hear it. Michael Bivens laughs and says "no favorites". Diddy tells her not to do it - the performance wasn't even hot according to him - and he'll edit her out. She tells him he can't edit her out because there would be no show. lol. Really? After he tells her not to get beside herself, she tells him he can gab all he wants. (?!) And he tells her she needs to leave. I agree with this - she's pretty clearly stepped over a line here and has become disrespectful. But, after she exits, Diddy sends Slam after her to bring her back.

So, she brings the boys in to practice routines like 9 hours before they are supposed to be cut. She doesn't seem to practice much and expects them to just get right into the routine. So... they don't do very well and she's angry and she rips into them pretty much over and over again with rare exceptions. When Jonathan tells her he wants to quit, she tells him to go - and then mocks him on the way out. I guess she was trying to get the other guys pumped, but I don't think it worked.

So, the cut comes and Diddy is frustrated with their inability to perform. He tells all of them to go outside and then conferences with Bivens and Gibson. Diddy asks her how long she's been working with them. She says just since today. Diddy says that he thought she was working with them since the weekend? She says no... this was the test (to see if they could pick it up quickly). But, Diddy continues, that's not what he said to do. This would mean that he told her that she was supposed to be working with them in advance of the cut, not on the day of the cut. Now, Diddy is heading to a cut without the information he needs.

The episode starts with Diddy saying that they need to let men be men. Let them box, play some basketball, etc. So, the guys get out to the park and play some ball. Losers have to "run suicides" according to Qwannel. They're playing one on one. First one to score 2 points wins.

Curtiss vs. Dan is the first match. Dan wins 2-0.

Andrae vs. Brian H. Andrae wins 2-0.

Robert vs. Willie. Willie wins 2-1.

The 3 losers have to run around the court until the other games have finished.

Eric vs. Michael. Michael wins 2-0.

Qwanell vs. Jonathan. In confessional, both of them basically say they can't play. After many missed shots, Qwanell wins, it looks like. All we see is him score 1 basket.

Jonathan is made to run and he complains. His heard is throbbing, he's lucky to be standing up, he's about to pass out, etc. etc. So, he walks around while the others run. They finish, Bivins talks a bit and Jonathan talks to one of the guys about how he's about to black out, as they leave.

"No Way Out" is the definitive Bad Boy album.

That isn’t a slight on Biggie - Biggie’s legacy is interwoven with Bad Boy’s unmistakably and his albums, with their Bad Boy and Puffy influence, are widely and rightly considered to be among the greatest in the history of hop hop. But, we’re not talking hip hop - we’re talking Bad Boy and this was a defining Bad Boy album. Produced almost exclusively by the Combs assembled production outfit, The Hitmen, and featuring guest spots from The Notorious B.I.G., Mase, Faith Evans, 112, Black Rob, The Lox, Carl Thomas, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Ginuwine, Twista, Foxy Brown, Kelly Price and Simone Hines, "No Way Out" is that album.

Some of the same people who may criticize this album today, were digging it back in the day. Everybody had this album. It’s the best selling Bad Boy album ever measured by individual units sold, featuring two Hot 100 #1 singles in "I’ll Be Missing You" (certified 3 times platinum) and "Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down" (2 times platinum) to go with a #2 in "Been Around the World" (platinum) and a #19 in "Victory" (gold). The album itself was certified 7 times platinum just in the United States by the RIAA. By 1998, it was 5 times platinum in Canada, platinum in the Philippines, Malaysia, Japan, Korea and Switzerland and gold in another 13 countries.

It led to awards for the artist, album and songs from ASCAP (2), the MTV Video Music Awards (2), The Billboard Music Awards (2), the Rhythm & Soul Music Awards (2), the Grammy Awards (2), the Soul Train Awards (2) as well as countless other nominations and victories in award shows throughout the country and the world.

In 1997, Sean Combs was a juggernaut. Not just with his own album, but in his appearances on and production of other artists’ records. 6 songs produced by him held the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart for a combined 42 weeks. 5 songs either produced by and/or featuring him held the #1 spot on the Hot 100 chart during the year.

As such, Bad Boy and The Hitmen went on an incredible run. "No Way Out" was the second of three Bad Boy releases in 1997. All of them went #1. The other two, "Life After Death" and "Harlem World" achieved astounding levels of success, as well. 1997 proved to be an incredible year for the label, sales wise, even though it was not without personal tragedy through the devastating loss of Christopher Wallace.

In the latest issue of Billboard Magazine, on page 30, there is an article called "Making the Bands" which discusses the success/potential success of MTV series that aim to launch music acts. In it, Making the Band 4 is highlighted briefly, as is Bad Boy, Diddy and Danity Kane. Nothing major. Danity Kane is highlighted as one of the successful acts to come out of an MTV series and rightfully so.

Well, you know, everyday is special here at Bad Boy Blog. But, tomorrow, we'll have a major feature to commemorate the 10th year anniversary of the release of that classic album, "No Way Out". The article will feature tons of behind the scenes information and more on the creation and development of the album. Over the past month and a half, or so, I've completed interviews with Rashad Smith (producer of "Young G's"), Jaz-O (producer of "I Got the Power"), Michael Benabib (cover photographer) and three engineers who worked extensively on the project - Stephen Dent, Axel Niehaus and Michael Patterson.

So, if you're a huge Bad Boy or Diddy fan, you are going to love this.

Diddy was the first to come out. He presented Terrence and Rocsi with Sean John shades. He talked about his BET Awards performance (his first performance at the BET Awards as an artist), his performance at the Princess Diana concert, his recent performance in South Africa, his kids, his breakup with Kim Porter (he said she's his best friend and it's not something he wants to go through, but he'll always love her).

After a video break, Mario Winans dropped by. They asked them what it's like in the studio when they're together. Diddy said it's magical and Mario said that he "always loves doing records with [his] brother". He called "Through the Pain (She Told Me)" "another passionate joint." And then Diddy introduced the video. Following with what I talked about recently, he introduced the video as "Through the Pain, a.k.a. She Told Me, Dear Kim". The video was credited As "Through the Pain (She Told Me): Dear Kim".

What can I say about the video? It's a cool video, I like it a lot, as a fan. The video opens with Diddy and Mario riding in a car and Mario sings his opening part. And then, as the song progresses, they move to a club, to the front of the parked car in the city, in front of a woodgrain wall, etc. It has a good vibe and fits the song.

After the video was over, Diddy announced that the DVD for the second season of P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy. It was released on July 17.

After a commercial break, Diddy announced B5, stopping to allow audience screaming and applause and then continuing, saying "not since the Beatles have a group come out that's gonna cause this much hysteria throughout the world."

Before they could introduce their record, Diddy interrupted and told everyone that radio stations around the country are "fronting on this record" and he encouraged all of the ladies to call in and request the record and if they don't play it, tell them that you are going to turn off your radio. B5 then introduced "Hydrolics".

After the video, Diddy encouraged everyone to vote the video onto the countdown and talked about Bad Boy's upcoming releases as well as the upcoming release of Sean John Ladies. He didn't say much except to say who was coming, which we already know about.

During the commercial, it mentioned a Screamfest 2007 special that will feature Yung Joc on 12:30 PM ET, but I missed the day. And that's it.

Yung Joc's Rap City appearance was today, actually. So, either it got moved or I was told incorrectly. Anyway, I missed the first 10 minutes of it of the show, but I don't think I missed much, if anything of Joc's appearance. It seems like it may be over. Nothing noteworth except that, at the end, he mentioned "new movie" and then wouldn't give any other details.

Since I announced the official tracklisting released by the label, I've been getting a few questions about the B5 track "All Over Again" which they have been performing, supposedly, introducing it as a cut from the new album. Yet, it wasn't on the tracklist.

You asked - I found out. I spoke with B5's manager, Jim McMahan, a few moments ago and he told me that the song has now been added to the album and the tracklisting has been changed. Here is the new, final tracklisting:

1. Hydrolics
2. How You Not Gonna
3. Right to Left
4. Erika Kane
5. Got It Like That
6. Tear Drops
7. In My Bedroom
8. All Over Again
9. What it Do
10. No One Else
11. I Must Love Drama
12. So Incredible
13. Things I Would Do
14. Rockstar (Bonus Track)

I'm guessing that "I Must Love Drama" is the same as "Drama", "So Incredible" is the same as "Incredible" and "Things I Would Do" is the same as "Things I Do For My Girl". Besides "All Over Again", "How You Not Gonna" is the other new track.

Aubrey has launched a new MySpace. It was announced via a MySpace bulletin that features what is presumably a picture of her maybe in the 3, 4, 5 age range getting out of what looks like a mini swimming pool and she's... well... naked. It's not that big a deal, but it struck me as kind of odd. Imagine you're an Aubrey fan and you happen to open up her bulletin while someone is walking by your screen... they might think you deal in child pornography. Maybe that's a little too serious as it's just a candid picture, but I wouldn't have used that one, if it was me.

Yung Joc was on 106 & Park today, along with T.I., Ciara and Lloyd (Terrence said that T-Pain missed his flight) to promote the Screamfest 2007 tour. He talked about his first tour (with T.I.), how you don't want to go over your set time on tour (unless you want to face a fine), how he was performing old school joints at last year's Scream Tour and how adults in the audience were moving to them, so he thinks they saw that they could grow the tour up a bit (don't take this the wrong way B5 fans!).

When Lloyd and Joc saw the newly remodeled 106 & Park set, they talked about having the album release party for "Hustlenomics" on the set. Terrence and Rocsi both said "why not?" Unlikely, but we'll see.

Then who he called for Total to make y'all see (me)
Then who he called again for Special Delivery (that a be me)

XXLmag.com has a part of their magazine feature of Yung Joc online:

Best of all, he says, as he gears up to release his second album, Hustlenomics, this summer, he gets to do it the right way. “The first record,” says Joc, 24—who self-produced New Joc City’s second single, “I Know You See It,” out of necessity—“I was under a lot of pressure to turn an album around. I had to do the album so quick, I couldn’t really get with the big producers. A lot of the bigger producers thought I was gonna flop. They didn’t know me. ‘Okay, he got a hit record, but I don’t know him.’ I was reaching out to n***** to work on my album; n***** was not responding. They was like, ‘Nah, I can’t do it. XXLmag.com has a review of "Back Up N Da Chevy.

The crew does manage to switch things up sonically when they enlist hook man of the moment T-Pain for the smooth strip-club ode “Table Dance.” But it’s the aggressive “Block Boyz” and the festive title track that rekindle the magic of “Dem Boyz.” Although not as strong without Jeezy, Boyz N Da Hood still manage to put in that work.

Watch below. Basically, updated release dates. Danity Kane was mentioned as Spring 2008. One interesting thing is that the mention of the Press Play Remixes album has been removed. Does this mean that the project has been scraped? Or, perhaps, combined with We Invented the Remix 2? I've got a request for comment in and will report back when/if I hear anything.

SOHH.com has a quick interview with Boyz N Da Hood.

"Honestly, we didn't even want another member, but like he said, he just got in where he fit in," added Duke. "Jeezy had a one album deal with us. He had already had a solo situation with Def Jam and he used it to launch his career and that's what it did. We all have different elements that we bring to the group and Jeezy had his own element too. But we just doing it with us four now."

DiggersSpot has an interview with rapper Pudgee Tha Phat B****** who, way back when, had Biggie and Lord Tariq on his test press only release of "Think Big".

A few weeks ago, a well-known digging related website reviewed your 12” “think big”, which features notorious big as well as lord tariq. As far as I remember, this had to be recorded short after “party and b*******” came out, so Biggie wasn’t that big - how did you get in contact with him and finally get him on that track?

I knew Biggie for quite some time becasue we were both up and coming lyricists on the grind. A friend of mine, 9Hawk - who used to road manage Big Daddy Kane - put me on to him. We used to speak all the time and I had been Tupac's friend since he danced for Digital Underground so the song was bound to happen – I called him and I told him I wanted him on the song. He said he would come to the studio and I still paid him cause I had a deal. The only song he had out at the time was party and b*******.

It's morning at the house. The new guys are getting acquainted with the old guys. Nothing odd happens, really. A little coldness in a conversation or two, but that's about it.

We get another June and Robert phone call with her asking if he's been calling anyone. After he says he's gotta go, June tells him that he doesn't have to worry about the relationship because it's over.

Ankh Ra is back at the house and he organizes the guys into groups he's selected. They are:

Group 1
Eric, DeAngelo, Andrae, Brian A.

Group 2
Jeremy, Qwanell, Brian H., Julius

Group 3
Donnie, Jonathan, Willie, Curtiss

Group 4
Carlos, Armando, Devin, Michael

Group 5
Dyshon, Robert, Jeremic, Dan

Once again, they are given a list of songs to choose from. Robert's group is slow to pick due to his indecision. When it comes to them to pick a song, they have no answer and they say they need more time.

Ankh reminds them that they will be judged on everything, not just singing, but appearance, dancing, etc.

Someone also told me that the video for "Through the Pain" is very specifically directed at Kim Porter, in light of recent events. The song itself was written, obviously, no earlier than Summer 2006. So, we'll have to take a good look at the video to see what, if any, subtle messages it contains.

MTV has an article covering the break up talk.

So basically, at the end of the day, the situation breaks down thusly: One member of DK believes that two other members have left to pursue solo careers, while those same two members maintain that they haven't left the group at all. Meanwhile, the two other members, Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres, have kept quiet on the matter.

And in all, it doesn't sound like there's been a whole lot of communicating going on in the Danity camp lately. And while MTV News' second request for comment on the situation were unanswered by Atlantic at press time, it seems like most of the group's fans are beginning to resign themselves to the fact that DK may be dead...

D. Woods has a blog post on her MySpace talking about the Danity Kane break up rumors. It's a lot of stuff (i.e. implying things like ... someone on the inside (Danity Kane member?) didn't hang up their phone fast enough when talking to her and said something nasty without realizing that she was listening), so I'd recommend giving it a read through. Here is, perhaps, the most important part:

I wont go into what was heard but i will say that my time as a member of DK has been a rocky rollercoaster with blows coming from all angles. But i have enjoyed it, gave my all, added to my artistry, met alot of great people, and have seen alot of things. I've been blessed to be a founding member of this group, so NO i havent left. I have extended myself in many ways and have been up front and inclusive about everything i've done since joining Danity Kane. I havent left the group, and when the time comes for us to pursue our other desires it will be in a much more professional manner.

If you listen closely to the end of this video, you hear some music that we haven't heard before. It starts after the finish of a normal sounding "Diddy Rock" track. Odd. There were two MySpace bulletins sent out from Danity Kane member official profiles earlier today inside of 3 hours of each other and they didn't seem to be on the same wavelength.

The first statement came from Dawn Richard's MySpace.

To answer all the rumors thats been out there about Aubrey and D. Woods pursuing their solo careers. We support them in their decision. However, myself, Aundrea, and Shannon are choosing to continue in our efforts to make Danity Kane the best for our fans who love us and what we represent AND the respect we have for our group.

THANK YOU SO MUCH
AND PLEASE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT

The second, from Aubrey O'Day's:

Once again I would like to put to rest absurd rumors. I love being a member of Danity Kane and have always been down with DK musically.

I’m looking forward to a second DK album and I totally support all members of DK in all of their endeavors.

They aren't absurd when you say things that make it look like it might happen. If she was joking around, fine... but, when you do that, people are going to believe you. So, it's not absurd. But, we'll have to see how this develops.

I just watched it. He was there to promote Making the Band 4, basically. But, they spent most of the time joking around. Diddy talked about when he takes vacations, he talked about his talks, about how he had just had shots in preparation of concert he's going to be doing in Nigeria shortly. He said that he's thinking that 3-4 people will end up in the Making the Band 4 group. He also mentioned that, as a kid, his mother would send him to live with an Amish family for the summer. It was a positive experience and he praised the Amish as having a lot of love for each other. That was most of it.

TMZ has video of Aubrey O'Day from Danity Kane where they mention the "Pussycat Dolls" thing and she doesn't deny it, she just says that they aren't supposed to know about that.

Back when the Aubrey pregnancy rumors were floating around, Diddy was on with Miss Jones on HOT 97 and he mentioned something to the extent of "I haven't even looked at that girl for more than 10 minutes." At the time, I thought it sounded a little negative (and was a bit of a slip up on Diddy's part). Apparently, it struck a nerve as Aubrey throws it back at him in this video. When asked if she has anything to say about Puffy, she says that she has nothing to say that she hasn't looked at him for more than 10 minutes, "isn't that what he said about me?"

If you noticed, in the most recent release dates, Danity Kane has been removed. So, that could be meaningful. We'll see.

On the other hand, at the release party for T.I.'s new album, Dawn sounded pretty happy about everything, including the group doing a new reality show on MTV focusing on their professional life, how hard it is to be in the industry, etc. She also mentioned them talking about working with Timbaland, Pharrell and Justin Timberlake. So, maybe Aubrey is just having a little fun with people, like she did when she staged that pregnancy test hoax.

I'm sorry to hear this:

Diddy and girlfriend Kim Porter are splitting up, just months after she gave birth to twin girls, the couple announced Tuesday (July 10), according to The Associated Press. In a recent cover story in Essence, the two declared love for each other, although he admitted he was an "ex-player" and wasn't ready to marry Porter. "Do you really think that God meant for a man to have just one wife?" he said in the magazine. Diddy and Porter already had a son when he was seeing Jennifer Lopez, but Diddy eventually reunited with his former girlfriend, even after she took him to court seeking increased child-support payments.

Here is the updated, tentative release schedule:

8/28/07 - "Hustlenomics" by Yung Joc.
9/11/07 - "Don't Talk, Just Listen" by B5.
9/25/07 - "Welcome to the Zoo" by Gorilla Zoe.
10/02/07 - "Back Up N Da Chevy" by Boyz N Da Hood.
11/06/07 - "Let's Get Physical" by Elephant Man.
12/04/07 - TBA by Mario Winans.
12/18/07 - "We Invented the Remix 2" by TBA.
1/15/08 - "Just Watch Me" by Jordan McCoy.
1/22/08 - TBA by Cheri Dennis.
2/12/08 - TBA by Cassie.

So, Yung Joc remains the same, B5 gets pushed up one week and everyone else gets pushed back, except for Mario Winans, who is given the same date he had previously (before it was removed).

Boyz N Da Hood isn't really a surprise since we are within a month of their release date and they haven't released a video. I am surprised at Elephant Man because he's been doing press and he just released a video (granted, it hasn't caught on... but, he's Elephant Man, he has a niche audience, he doesn't sell big numbers). Jordan was in a similar boat to Boyz N Da Hood as we were getting close to a month away and they haven't even shot a video, yet alone released one. But, being pushed to January? That is definitely a ways away and will negate some of the impact of her recent radio tour. Maybe her album will be shuffled a bit and/or she'll pick a new single. We'll have to see.

Besides Michael reminding us who was cut last week, the first thing we see is Lewis (a.k.a. Dre, according to the caption) talking about how he was worried during the concert at B.B. King's because he was sick and, in his opinion, his voice was the worst one that night. But, he gave it his all and he thinks that is why he's still here. He's got to get his voice together, he says.

The next TV day, Michael Bivins shows up and sits down to talk to them all. He tells Chris that he "thought he showed up. You was on key. You didn't hear that nervousness." He says that Diddy was really happy with their effort and that's probably why he cut 4 instead of 10. He then asks Lewis what was wrong with his voice and Lewis tells him. Bivins says that he thought he was going to be cut because Diddy's not giving anyone any passes. He then announces that Diddy wants the judges to go back out and fill those 4 empty beds.

Diddy: "One thing about me: I don't know if I'm ever satisfied. In this situation, I'm still not satisfied with the talent that we have for this season. So, I'm gonna send the dream team on the road to find me some more talent. Stay tuned: this is gonna get interesting."

From The Independent:

Consider, for example, his description of hip-hop impresario P Diddy, with whom he launched a hugely successful cologne last year: "He's a unique business. He's a celebrity. He's a brand. He's a cultural movement. What I mean by that is that anyone under 35 years old listens to R&B and hip-hop music. Whether he is the most talented musician or not, he is at the epicentre of the creation of that world. Young people view him as a lifestyle."

He goes on: "In a funny sort of way, he's the hip-hop Ralph Lauren. Because many, many years ago, Ralph Lauren created a brand and a lifestyle that people sort of aspired to be part of. [P Diddy] is modern-day aspiration."

I just finished watching Access Granted. Just some random thoughts, details and reaction...

I like the video. I'd say it's my favorite B5 video thus far, actually. It centers around a mock B5 dance rehearsal in an industrial area with cut scenes of them singing and dancing in front of cars, with ladies, with Bow Wow and in computer generated scenes/backgrounds. Bow Wow does his verses similarly - mostly either with B5 or around/in a car with a girl. Yung Joc had a quick cameo in it, as well.

Kevin Wales talked about how he discovered B5 and how they reminded him of New Edition, the Jackson 5 and ABC. He called Diddy his "go to guy" - whenever he gets something he thinks is hot, he goes to Diddy. Diddy fell in love with B5 and they were signed. According to Bow Wow, Diddy called him up to do the track, saying that they needed him on the record.

I was just sent the official tracklisting for "Don't Talk, Just Listen" and I wanted to go ahead and confirm that it is the same one that I outlined previously based on a previous review. That is:

1. No One Else
2. Hydrolics featuring Bow Wow and Diddy
3. Incredible
4. In My Bedroom
5. Got It Like That
6. Right 2 Left
7. Things I Do For My Girl
8. What It Do
9. Drama
10. Erika Cain
11. Tear Drops
12. Rock Star

Here is the official tracklisting for "Hustlenomics" with features.

1. Hustlenomics (Intro)
2. Play Your Cards
3. Coffee Shop featuring Gorilla Zoe
4. Bottle Poppin' featuring Gorilla Zoe
5. Hell Yeah featuring Diddy
6. Cut Throat featuring The Game, Jim Jones and Block
7. Hustlemania (Skit)
8. I'm A G featuring Bun B and Young Dro
9. BYOB
10. Pak Man
11. Getting To Da Money featuring Mike Carlito
12. Brand New featuring Snoop Dogg and Rick Ross
13. Living the Life featuring Southern Girl
14. Momma featuring Jazze Pha
15. Chevy Smile featuring Trick Daddy, Block and Jazze Pha
16. Hustlenomics
Bonus Track: Block Boy featuring Block

The key differences between this one and the one released by XXL are as follows:

Diddy featured on "Hell Yeah" (yeah!). "BYOB" no longer listing Pharrell as a featured artist. He might still be featured on the track. I suspect "Living the Life" is "Livin' It Up", but you never know. Finally, the removal of "Thugg Love" and addition of "Block Boy" as a bonus track, which I mentioned as a possibility the day before yesterday.

I was just sent the latest tracklisting for "Back Up N Da Chevy" and it is as follows:

1. Everybody Know Me
2. Bite Down
3. Say What's On Your Mind
4. Nothing Is Promised featuring Yung Joc
5. We Ready featuring Yung Joc
6. Choppas featuring Ice Cube
7. Block Boyz featuring T-Rok, Alfa Mega, Yung Joc and Durty
8. Jump
9. We Ridin'
10. Paper featuring Rick Ross
11. Back Up N Da Chevy
12. Table Dance featuring T-Pain
13. We Thuggin'
14. No Haters Allowed

This differs from the one Billboard mentioned in that T-Pain is featured on "Table Dance" instead of Rick Ross and "No Haters Allowed" has been added in place of "Hood Laws".

We've talked about this before (although, not for more than a year now), but Killer Mike was asked about the rumors about him going to Bad Boy in a HipHopGame.com interview and this is what he said:

There were rumors that you were going to Bad Boy.

I was. I really wanted to. I never went back to ask Puff for the deal after I left Purple Ribbon. Puff really was the person who gave me a lot of confidence to do exactly what you've been hearing out of me on Pledge and what you're going to hear on 16. I felt like Puff had his own lane. The months that we f***** around and hung out, it really motivated me and inspired me to do what I do. It wasn't a lot, but it was enough. I had seen the success of Yung Joc and Boyz N Da Hood and I was excited to see that but I felt like he was handled badly.

I'm not going to name names because that's not right, but there were four people involved in the Puffy situation. It was me, my manager and two heads of the label. Puff was lied to and he wasn't handled honestly. I didn't have the control to say what was happening. I did tell Puff if he was going to make an aggressive move, he had to do it now. He didn't do it because nobody wants to ruin relationships. I felt like he was dragged around because people were arguing over $70-80,000. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I couldn't put myself back in a situation where I look dishonorable. That's why I'm not on Bad Boy.

Puff, I'm sorry for that. I'm sorry you got d***** around. I'm sorry you got bulls******.

Take it for what it's worth, obviously. Hard to get a handle on what he's talking about, exactly.

With your questions in mind, I interviewed Jordan McCoy. Her debut album, "Just Watch Me", is slated for an August 14 release.

Jenn and Kristen asked: So, how'd you like your first radio tour? Was it what you expected?

I LOVED it!! I really didn't even know what to expect before I went into it... but, it was a ton of fun.

Jenn asked: Did you have any favorite stops or cities that you'd like to visit again when not touring?

I think all the cities were pretty cool and different. I can't wait to come do performances in all of them.

Jenn asked: Did anything strange or unusual happen during the tour?

Of course!! My life always has something strange and unusual going on! Haha. In Kentucky, Carol Channing was in our hotel lobby, so I met her and performed for her! It was awesome.

hellomagazin.com has the story and pictures. According to Times Online, he may also be eying a Formula One racing team.

Is P. Diddy planning to buy a Formula One team?

Apparently so. The rapper made the announcement to guests at a dinner to launch his new perfume, Unforgiven. “It seemed to be more than bravado on his part,” reports one guest, adding that Diddy had previously spent much of the evening huddled in a corner with Lewis Hamilton, the youthful British racing star. Still, Diddy is known for being an impulsive chap. Pink-and-gold pimpmobiles may indeed roar around Silverstone. Alternatively, he may end up with a bling Scalextric.

The articles both mention that he's launching his new fragrance, "Unforgiven"... but, I'm thinking this is just Unforgiveable as there would be more press if he was actually launching a new fragrance.

SOHH.com has more on the "Life After Death" movie.

"Basically, it's a poorly kept secret that D-Roc always kept a video camera with him when he was with Big. It was kinda his own personal diary. I don't think he ever meant to release the tapes," said Maiya. "He contacted me and wanted to straighten out the story [concerning the shooting] because it was making Kim look dumb, like she lied for no reason and was making Gutter and D-Roc just look like criminals. To this day, nobody knows why [Lil'] Cease took the stand against them. He was telling press that he didn't tell the police anything they didn't already know but D-Roc and Gutter are in jail for a shooting that there was no weapon for."

B5 manager Jim McMahan dropped this bomb in the B5 forums:

B5's access granted is thurs july 5th as we are told by the label !! B5 should be on 106 & park next week to deliver their "Hydrolic" video and we need all of you to vote to make it #1!!!! We had a 40+ city tour with Aly & Aj scheduled for the summer and the label insisted that B5 do the "Scream Tour"! we passed on aly & aj's tour and now are told that "TI" has decided B5 shouldnt be on the tour. We dont agree but its not our decision. So at this point B5 has no schedule yet! I will let you know soon on what the schedule will be! Probably aug-sept promo tour.

It's a shame that happened as it'll make it harder to promote their album. But, that's how it works sometimes, I guess. If "Hydrolics" is a hit, though - they shouldn't have a problem setting up a new tour.

The Dallas Morning News has an interview with Carl Thomas.

Although many fans and insiders have speculated that the tepid promotion of Let's Talk About It prompted the move, Mr. Thomas characterizes the parting of ways as a business move, not one fueled by animosity or conflict with its founder, Sean "Diddy" Combs. ...

"Bad Boy has been good to me, but when you have a company doing everything for you, you're not necessarily the responsible artist that you could be.

"We have never had any real problems," Mr. Thomas says of his relationship with Mr. Combs, "and as a matter of fact, I made sure that he was one of the very first people to have a copy of my new album. He said that this is what my fans have been waiting for, and he likes it a lot."

Diddy starts the show by saying that it's time for some guys to get out of the house. He's going to have them perform at B.B. King's in New York.

Robert talks about June, his girlfriend of 1 year (4 years "unofficially", he says). He talks about calling her and not being able to reach her and wondering what she's up to. He finally leaves a message, saying that she better have a good reason for not answering his calls all day. He thinks she's at a party (with her ex-boyfriend) and if so, it's over. He talked about how she'd done it before and he forgave her.

Donnie tells him to stay focused on making the band. Robert says it helped him, reminded him of what he was here for. Robert heads to bed. Later, Donnie comes in and wakes Robert to tell him that June has called him back. They get into an argument and he hangs up on her.

So, now everyone heads to bed and we're shown them all sleeping. Uh oh... here comes Diddy at 2:00 AM. He starts clapping and waking them up. One of them is sleeping really heavy. Diddy sits down on his bed and Diddy gets closer to him and wakes him up gently... asking him if he's alright. Hilarious.

No, not Prince, but Prince Harry and Prince William. He had this to say:

"They were just appreciative that I came. They loved the performance and they told me how they were fans and wondered how I worked so much. It was a great conversation."

From Defsounds.com:

Yung Joc has done many things to stand out as an artist. From his trademark flow, to his giant H chain, he has no limits on being different. Joc has now taken it a step further, as he’s gone old school with his hairstyle, rocking the infamous “Gumby” cut.

Diddy came out, alone in front of the big screen (but was joined by a choir to his sides and a string orchestra on a separate stage), in a white suit with a black tie to perform "I'll Be Missing You". It was very similar to the version performed for the Wal-Mart Soundcheck, except for the comments related to Princess Diana, of course. Perfect song for the event, of course, and the crowd was into it, of course.

After it was over, one of the co-host's said she "didn't expect Diddy to be that good." lol. She said that usually his performances in the U.K. are more in tune with "his roots". I didn't hear her say anything like that about any of the other performers, so that was a wee bit surprising.

Diddy did a quick backstage interview before his performance where he talked about Princess Diana, saying that she was the definition of a Princess in his eyes. On how he got involved, he said that the Princes called his publicist and he was glad to accept. He said that this is their country (the U.K.), they're royalty in this country and he's royalty in his country. heh

Finally, as an aside, Cassie came on the big screen behind the performers during Kanye West's set, while he was performing "Stronger".

Entertainmentwise.com reports that Diddy will perform "I'll Be Missing You" at today's Concert For Diana. In the article, Diddy is also quoted as saying "I can relate because of Biggie. I'm gonna feel real good remembering him and Di."

It's on VH1 and I've been watching it. An hour in, no Diddy, yet. Once he performs, I'll have my reactions up.
