Tom Breihan has a recap of Diddy's set at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert. Diddy brought out Yung Joc ("It's Goin' Down" and "I Know You See It"), Elephant Man, T.I.("What You Know and "Big S*** Poppin", Young Dro ("Shoulder Lean"), Keyshia Cole ("Last Night"), The Lox (he brought them out to do "It's All About the Benjamins"), Lil' Kim (also for the "Benjamins" but also for "Lighter's Up"). Diddy also performed "Victory". I don't think the song list in the article is complete as Diddy also performed "Victory". Sounds like an awesome show. There are a few videos on YouTube, as well.

I've said this time and time again. WHY DO THEY NOT SELL DVDS FOR STUFF LIKE THIS?! Somebody doesn't want my money, apparently.

By the way, with Black Rob out of jail and everything cool with The Lox and Kim... they should totally do my No Way Out concert idea. How awesome would that be? Of course, they won't.

AllHipHop.com has an interview with former Bad Boy artist Carl Thomas, where he talked about leaving Bad Boy:

Carl Thomas: My situation dealing with my brother was just part of the refocusing; I guess I was kind of living life with the fog over my eyes, and that just kind of cleared things up for me. I was really pacified by money or whatever, and I never really had any personal problems with Puff and I still don’t. That’s one thing I’m cool to say, he wasn’t particularly happy that I wanted to leave, he definitely fought me on it - but he never fought me to a disrespectful level or anything like that, because I think he respected the fact that I wanted to do it in a respectful manner.

If me and you don’t have any problems on a personal level then why would I get on the radio and in all these magazines and act like we had a problem? Everybody had their own relationship with that man and I’m definitely not responsible for how you and Puff relate and how your business relationship is. I think that’s corny nonsense, that’s not really where it is.

Puff did a whole lot for me and my career; he probably did the most out of anyone for my career. He allowed me to change tax brackets, he allowed me to drive what I wanna drive, travel to where I wanna travel to, eat what I wanna eat, wear what I wanna wear and do what I wanna do. That foundation was laid down at Bad Boy and I would never disrespect that, I would never disrespect Puff, because I was just taught a long time ago you don’t burn the bridge that brought you across.

Also it’s your responsibility to recognize when you’re on a bridge. A lot of people don’t even know when they’re on one, and that’s why it’s so easy for them to lash out at the things that helped them. That’s a real wack way to approach business; Puff had no interest at all in going out there and badmouthing me and saying any negative things about me. I haven’t heard one thing, we see each other it’s hugs, kisses and love. “How’s the kids? Let’s go drinking”. He thinks I’m a great artist, I think he’s a great executive. Just because you’re not seeing eye-to-eye with each other at the time, there’s no reason to trash everything that y’all have been through and the experience. I think that’s really weak-minded.

Like I said in the forums, it's good to see. It's annoying when we seeing people bashing Diddy when we know very well that, for the most part, if it weren't for Bad Boy, we wouldn't have even known who they were in the first place.

MTV News reports from the Bad Boy listening party held Wednesday Night in New York. A bunch of news came out of this event, so let's go over it all.

First, remember when I wrote about the Press Play remixes on Sunday?

Unfortunately, a few great remixes have yet to be released. I hope they will be, but with every passing day, it gets less likely. If the Biggie and Elephant Man ones are really official, as I suspect, they could do a few more remixes and release an "Press Play: Remixes" album. I'd love that. Plenty of other big time Bad Boy fans would love it, too. But, there aren't enough of us to make it happen, I guess. Still, we can ponder the possibility.

I know the idea has been bouncing around in my head and I know a commenter here at BBB mentioned it before, as well. Well, guess what? Diddy has announced plans for a "Press Play" remix album. No joke!

He also announced plans for a second edition of "We Invented the Remix", something I've been thinking about, as well.

Apparently, the winner of the 4th single poll has been crowned - it's "Through the Pain".

The Cheri Dennis single, "Portrait of Love" (which is on her MySpace featuring Gorilla Zoe and Yung Joc) will now feature Diddy. The article notes that it's set to be the first single from Cheri's album, "due this summer."

Here are a couple of track titles from the upcoming Mario Winans release: "Here Comes the Pain" and "Put Your Arms Around Me".
