According to the Chinatown Music MySpace:
Now in 2007, the man with unmatched experience in the volatile world of entertainment stands armed with his own masterpiece ready to take music back to its essence. Calling on some of his longtime associates in the biz, Dofat’s album is co-executive produced by Bad Boy A&R Conrad Dimanche, with help from Derick “D Dot” Angeletti, and will feature artists Mario Winans, Cassie and Diddy himself among several others.
From BET.com:
While he’s no longer signed to Bad Boy, Thomas says things ended amicably with Combs. “I never had any personal problems with Puff. I just felt like I was really pacified there. We started to bump heads creatively in the studio and I didn’t want those differences to reflect itself in the music,” he says.
I just received an updated release schedule, but there are no changes to what we have now, except that Mario Winans and Danity Kane are not listed as having a date anymore, which doesn't really mean much since those dates were probably really loose, anyway.
Here are Bad Boy's positions on the most recent Hot 100 chart:
13. "Last Night" by Diddy (same as last week - this one has been holding strong).
Also worth mentioning is the Yung Joc featured T-Pain single "Buy U A Drink (Shawty Snappin') which is back up to 3, it's high.
Here are Bad Boy's spots on The Billboard 200:
109. "Press Play" by Diddy (down from 96).
144. "Greatest Hits" by The Notorious B.I.G. (down from 126).
198. "Ridin High" by 8 Ball & MJG (down from 171).
From AllHipHop.com's Rumors section:
This has been another floater which I believe isn't far from the truth. Lil' Kim might drop from Atlantic Records and negotiate a venture/artist deal with Baaaad Booooyyyy. We already know that she's been in the studio heavy with Diddy as of late and earlier in 06' she aired out her hatred for Atlantic and would be shopping for a new deal soon. Could be, Could not....only time will tell
Heavy stress on RUMOR as always, folks. Would I like to see it? Sure. Does it make any sense to me? No. Why? If she wants so bad to get off Atlantic, why would she sign with Bad Boy/ Atlantic?
At any rate, I have contacted her publicist, requesting comment and I will report that, if I get anything back.
Update: I heard back. "No comment."
