For the first time, in a very long time, there are no Bad Boy albums on The Billboard 200. "Press Play" ( last week at 172) and "Greatest Hits (195) both fell off this week. Press Play had been on the chart every week since it was released on October 17 of last year, making for a very nice run (keep in mind that "Hip Hop is Dead", "Kingdom Come" and plenty of other albums were released after "Press Play" and left The Billboard 200 chart before it). If Diddy does released a 4th video (or more), I expect that we'll see the album return.
From the New York Daily News:
Artists like Diddy, 50 Cent and Missy Elliott could lend their names to an even wider range of merchandise under a deal between Warner Music and talent agency Violator Management.
The companies are forming Brand Asset Group, which will be headed by Violator boss Chris Lighty, Warner officials said yesterday.
From the press release:

The world is filled with unheard of budding musical artists and producers that never get a chance to share their talents with the general public because of simply not having the know-how or connections to display their artistry in front of people who possess the power to nuture their abilities and allow them to record their music. The Dream Mega A&R Demo Conference seeks to fill this void.
Check out the conference site for more.
Bad Boy will be holding another Upfronts event soon - June 18th, to be exact. It'll be in Atlanta at the Lotus Lounge. The event is closed to the public (it's intended for members of the media). Hopefully we'll have some news to report shortly after it happens.
Here are Bad Boy's positions on the latest Hot 100 chart:
26. "Last Night" by Diddy (down from 25).
Here are Bad Boy's numbers from the last week's SoundScan results.
172. "Press Play" by Diddy, 4,200 (652,700 overall, down from 156).
195. "Greatest Hits" by The Notorious B.I.G., 3,600 (234,600, down from 180).
NR. "Ridin High" by 8 Ball & MJG, 2,700 (135,100).
NR. "New Joc City" by Yung Joc, 1,400 (929,900).
Hot 97 has a piece up as well:
Elephant Man came out in full baseball catcher's gear to perform his latest single. The “Energy god” commanded the lights to go down as he went into “Signal da Plane” . In another of the most hilarious events of the night, Elephant asked two ladies to come on stage. Two healthy ladies obliged and both Diddy and Elephant Man picked both ladies up. Diddy had a little trouble holding the weight of his female falling forward on stage continuing to gyrate on the wet stage.
The guests kept coming as Diddy brought out Keyshia Cole to croon “Last Night” as only she could. The Lox joined Diddy for “The Benjamins” , but after Sheek Louch ended his verse the music stopped. “We ain't done,” screamed Diddy. Lil' Kim emerged claiming “Your girl's back.” She launched into her Benjamins verse as the crowd went crazy. A tribute to Biggie ended Diddy's set as he left amid a sea of fireworks.
Between the Bad Boy Sizzle Reel and Hen Roc's MySpace, we have 2 tentative release date updates. They are Danity Kane's sophomore release being moved to December and Cheri Dennis being given a date again. That date is January 15, 2008.
I am fairly certain that this is the video that was shown at the upfronts on Wednesday. It introduces the "We Invented the Remix, Volume II" and "The Press Play Remix Album" projects toward the end.
Great video. There are a couple of inconsistencies, but a great video overall. As a Bad Boy fan, this video gets me excited. I am going to write some posts to highlight some of the things revealed in it.
The video says that "Press Play" is RIAA certified platinum, but I don't believe that to be true as the most up to date Billboard charts still show it as gold.

Check out MTV News, VIBE.com and the New York Times for more great coverage and pictures from Diddy's Summer Jam set.
Diddy, ever the showman, marked the special occasion. "Hold up, hold up, we not done yet," Diddy told the audience after he'd already brought out the LOX midway through "It's All About the Benjamins."
"I think we got one person missing," he continued, cutting the music off. "Brooklyn — stand up! Make some noise for my girl, Queen Bee!"
Entering the stage complete with pyrotechnics, classic video clips of his illustrious career and wearing all black, Diddy, accompanied by Hitmen producer and rapper Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, came out to 1997's "Victory."
The crowd roared when Lil’ Kim and the LOX emerged for a 10th-anniversary performance of Diddy’s era-defining hit, “It’s All About the Benjamins.” He also demanded, five times, that people defy the rain by removing their ponchos. He was widely ignored, but still, you have to admire his nerve.
