Soundslam has a Diddy tribute sort of piece up that's worth a read.
Press Play will hits stores ten years after Diddy's debut No Way Out. Think about that for a second. Ten years! In the music business that's a lifetime. We've seen countless artists come and go over that time. We've seen stars burn out and fade away, while Diddy's star is still shinning. And yes, like I wrote earlier, nobody regards him as the best lyricist, rapper, or songwriter, which only makes the length and breadth of his career more impressive. Many thought he would be a flash in the pan, a memory symbolized by a shiny suit found in a 1997 time capsule. He has managed to build an empire, and it looks like we will need a bigger time capsule.
Diddy is on Wal-Mart Soundcheck. Really neat. Live studio performances of album cuts, Victory, Mo Money Mo Problems, I'll Be Missing You, etc as well as an interview at the end. Yesterday, I talked about an unplugged album and it seems like that wish came a little true because Wal-Mart is offering audio downloads from the performance.
Thanks Anthony.
Target's "Press Play" bonus is a DVD with the "Come to Me" video and the BET "Black and White" special.

There is a new site up. It's a nice design and there are many features that you would expect, such as a mailing list, news, appearances and some YouTube integration. Some notable ones:
- Audio player where you can listen to much of the album.
- Video section is nice and it features a video I don't remember seeing on YouTube, one with Jamie Foxx. Perhaps I just missed it, though.
- A community. I hope they have people actively moderating it.
Some sections, called "Be Seen & Heard", "Words of Advice" and "Diddy Pics" are coming soon.

Gambit at BadBoyForever.com remarked after seeing the Diddy performance on Letterman, that s/he wanted a Diddy unplugged album now. Thinking about it, that really isn't such a bad idea. I mean, most likely it won't happen, but you never know.
