Back in September, I reported that Boyz N Da Hood would return for a third album with an all-new lineup and today, that lineup was revealed. According to OnSMASH (as shared on Russell "Block" Spencer's Twitter account), the lineup will consist of Block Entertainment artist Supplya (from Kirkwood, Georgia), C-Bo (California), Allstarr Da Great (New Jersey) and Lil' Keke (Houston, Texas).

You can download their debut record, "Grindin," from OnSMASH.

Thanks Theo for the tip.

Block Entertainment CEO Russell "Block" Spencer has confirmed to me that Boyz N Da Hood will return for a third album, as previously reported, but it will be with an all-new lineup.

The group's first album consisted of Young Jeezy, Jody Breeze, Big Duke and Big Gee. The second album saw Gorilla Zoe fill in the slot vacated by Jeezy. With the third album, they are apparently starting from scratch.

No word on when the album is slated for release. It is also unclear if the group will remain with Bad Boy or will be part of Block Entertainment's new deal with Atlantic and E1. Though, it is assumed that they are presently Bad Boy at the moment, as Diddy has said that all of the artists he had on Bad Boy under Atlantic are still with the label, unless reported otherwise.

"So Much Drama" by Boyz N Da Hood featuring Young Jeezy has been added to the group's MySpace. It's unclear when this track was recorded, but I haven't heard it before.

AllHipHop.com's Nolan Strong reports that R&B singer Rythum has filed a copyright infringement suit against Bad Boy, Block Entertainment, Atlantic Records (Bad Boy's parent label) and Boyz N Da Hood. In the suit, he claims that "Table Dance" from Boyz N Da Hood's second album, "Back Up N Da Chevy," takes from his own "Private Dancer."

The Rhythum MySpace has a track titled "Private Dancer" in the audio player, so you can give it a listen and compared it to "Table Dance," which can also be heard on MySpace.

Via StarPulse, who has a pretty poor, sensational headline: "Diddy Accused of Stealing Boyz N Da Hood Song."

From HipHopDX.com:

Having already gotten the lowdown from Kurupt on the new projects he’s working on solo and as one-half of Tha Dogg Pound [click to read], HipHopDX recently caught up with his partner-in-rhyme Daz Dillinger to discuss what he’s got on his plate for the remainder of ’08, as well as his thoughts on two of his former label bosses.

“Wouldn’t nobody put me in no movies so I went and made my own,” Daz confessed to DX about his forthcoming DVD Make It Rain. Due later this year, the film features cameos from a bevy of Hip Hop notables including Alfamega and Big Kuntry King from T.I.’s Grand Hustle camp, Duke from Boyz N Da Hood, Khujo Goodie and video star turned Cash Money artist Lil Chuckie. The movie dramatizes the commissioner of Atlanta’s attempts to shut down area strip clubs.

AllHipHop.com and SixShot.com have interviews with Jody Breeze, where he talks about Bad Boy and Boyz N Da Hood.

AllHipHop.com: You are a member of the group, Boyz N Da Hood, and you’ve written songs for Diddy. Is it safe to assume that Bad Boy South is a likely choice for your new solo deal?

Jody Breeze: Not really. Well...they're an option. It's a new year and I'm ready to try new things. New group, new people...everything. Everybody is still family. This is a business thing. It's time for me to start branding Jody Breeze instead of just being connected to this or connected to that. It's more about me promoting me and just getting the ball rolling. ...

AllHipHop.com: With you being focused on your solo career is there any animosity between you and your former label team or your group Boyz N Da Hood?

Jody Breeze: No, I'm still working with the fam. But right now it's about me and proving, well not really proving, but just executing my plan. Just trying to stay humble and make s**t happen. With any group separation happens. From the Hot Boys to N.W.A there comes a time when members drift apart. You can't do that s**t forever. It was good while it lasted and they're going to always be family. We did a lot of s**t together but every man has his time when he needs to do his own thing and take care of his own responsibilities. I got to do me. I can't wait for a group of n****s to get their s**t together. I'm not saying that I'm through with them, that's just not my priority. I'm doing me right now.

Any new situations over there now that you’re a free agent?

Nah, no more new situations with Bad Boy. I’m not really tryna do any more Boyz N Da Hood albums. I might, I might make an appearance but I’m not really concentrating on that.

So you’re done with Boyz N Da Hood?

Yeah for right now man, this year is more about Jody Breeze than Boyz N Da Hood.
