Yung Joc was on 106 & Park today, along with T.I., Ciara and Lloyd (Terrence said that T-Pain missed his flight) to promote the Screamfest 2007 tour. He talked about his first tour (with T.I.), how you don't want to go over your set time on tour (unless you want to face a fine), how he was performing old school joints at last year's Scream Tour and how adults in the audience were moving to them, so he thinks they saw that they could grow the tour up a bit (don't take this the wrong way B5 fans!).
When Lloyd and Joc saw the newly remodeled 106 & Park set, they talked about having the album release party for "Hustlenomics" on the set. Terrence and Rocsi both said "why not?" Unlikely, but we'll see.
Despite what I said, Yung Joc was not on today's Rap City. I wonder what happened there. Anyway, he's supposed to be on 106 & Park next, so we'll see.
XXLmag.com has a part of their magazine feature of Yung Joc online:
Best of all, he says, as he gears up to release his second album, Hustlenomics, this summer, he gets to do it the right way. “The first record,” says Joc, 24—who self-produced New Joc City’s second single, “I Know You See It,” out of necessity—“I was under a lot of pressure to turn an album around. I had to do the album so quick, I couldn’t really get with the big producers. A lot of the bigger producers thought I was gonna flop. They didn’t know me. ‘Okay, he got a hit record, but I don’t know him.’ I was reaching out to n***** to work on my album; n***** was not responding. They was like, ‘Nah, I can’t do it. Pay me X amount of dollars.’ Now, these same n***** call me for hooks, call me for beats, call me for verses. I’m not mad. I’m happy n***** ain’t jump on my bandwagon right off.”
Yung Joc will be on BET on Rap City on the 18th, as well. So, he'll be on Rap City and 106 on the same day.
Yung Joc will be on 106 & Park on Wednesday, July 18 to promote the Scream Tour.
Yung Joc was on The Tonight Show just now, joining T-Pain to perform his verse on "Buy U A Drink". He didn't come out until it was actually time to do his verse and he left once his verse was finished, but he put in a solid performance. I noticed that he wasn't wearing his Hustlenomics chain, though - he was wearing one shaped like a shield. Not sure what was on it.
From Billboard:
The DVD portion of the album sports behind-the-scenes footage and "making-of" segment on "Coffee Shop."
Yung Joc will be perfoming "Buy U A Drink" with T-Pain on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on July 12. The show starts at 11:30 PM ET.
Actually, this song is a new single from DJ Pharris called "See It 4 Ya Self" featuring Yung Joc, Jim Jones and Bump J. Listen it to on his MySpace.
Update: This track is actually a DJ Pharris single.
Listen to it at AllHipHop.com. It is not slated to be on Hustlenomics.
