VH1.com has an article on the New York auditions for Making the Band 4:
The "Making the Band 4" auditions this time Diddy's looking for a show-stopping male quartet may not get the frenzied attention the "American Idol" tryouts receive, but that doesn't mean they aren't just as entertaining.
The New York leg certainly was, and the same could prove to be true at the casting calls scheduled for Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Tuesday in Washington, D.C. (Scroll below for more information on the Charlotte and D.C. auditions.)
Hopefuls braved subzero temperatures, waited in line outside club BLVD and inside the venue for upward of four hours, and when they finally got their 30 seconds to impress ... his royal Diddy-ness wasn't even there. Take that, take that!

You can now upload a video here for consideration on Making the Band 4.
I had held back on reporting this because the only corroboration was a MySpace page and, let's be honest, that's about as useful as seeing it written on the side of a cardboard box outside of Wal-Mart.
But, yes, Making the Band 4 will be back - with Diddy. MTV has a site up. And here is a promo trailer with Diddy:

According to AllHipHop.com:
Sean "Diddy" Combs is transferring his Broadway experience to the small screen in a new television movie adaptation of Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun.
Production recently started on the three-hour feature in Toronto, Canada. The feature will air on ABC during the 2007 season.
SOHH.com is reporting a MySpace page for casting for Making the Band 4. The only corroboration I can see is the MySpace page as no major outlets are reporting it. This strikes me as strange, obviously, so it should be treated as a big rumor at this point. I'm working to confirm it.
The preview on MTV Overdrive has revealed that the Making the Band 3 girls will be working with Brian Cox, Rodney Jerkins, Timbaland and Scott Storch.
