The New York Daily News has a brief article on Making the Band 4.
"I thought [the show] was a good idea to educate people to the realities of what it's like to be in the music industry," [Combs] says.
"For a while, I think a lot of people, especially young people, didn't know what my day job was. All they ever heard about was the parties, or who I was dating, or whatever the case was. This was a way to educate future executives, producers and artists. I also thought it would be great for television."
The Suffolk News-Herald has a piece on Eric Wright, who was one of 3 chosen from the Norfolk audition spot.
After making a visit home for Easter, Knight returned to New York to continue in the competition. A group will be picked to live in a house from April to August and will be given challenges to weed out the final few that will comprise the members of the band. ...
Family and friends will have to wait until the show airs to see if Eric Knight made the final cut and earned a spot in the New York City house. He is not allowed to share his progress with anyone until after the season premiere of "Making the Band 4" airs June 18 on MTV.
Diddy is executive producing a new reality series for MTV called " Taquita and Kaui". The show features two girls who had tried out during Making the Band 3 but, obviously, didn't make the cut. Check out the MTV site for more.

HOT 97 is holding a contest where the winner will be able to skip the lines for Making the Band 4 auditions and audition for Diddy.
The Making the Band 4 MySpace mentions that the venue for the NYC audition on March 24 will be rebel.
Updating a previous story, they have named some specific venues for the new audition dates.
On March 24, they will be in New York City (venue still TBA) and Birmingham, AL (Club Red).
On March 31, they will be in Memphis, TN (Plush) and Norfolk, VA (The Granby Theater).
