Last week, we highlighted video of Diddy/Dirty Money performing "I'll Be Missing You" and "Mo Money Mo Problems" at Oi Fashion Rocks Brazil. At that time, one of the 3 video clips of their performance was unavailable. That has now been fixed.
Head over to their website and you'll see a white box in the middle right area of the site. At the top of this box is "Ver mais vídeos (52):." Next to this is "Página 1 de 6 >." Click that arrow until you get to page 4. Once there, click the "Versace parte 2" video.
Twitter Lists are a new feature on Twitter that has not yet been rolled out to all users, but should be there soon enough. We just got access on the @badboyblog account and so we have started creating some Bad Boy related lists aimed at helping Bad Boy fans to get the most out of Twitter. So far, we have four lists:
Bad Boy Artists - follow current Bad Boy artists, including members of groups signed to Bad Boy.
Day26 - follow all 5 group members on their individual accounts, plus the main group account.

At the BET Hip-Hop Awards 2009, Jay-Z was given the Hustler of the Year award. Diddy was one of the nominees in the category, along with Drake, Lil' Wayne and Kanye West. Congrats to Jay, who collected three other awards, as well.

Speaking to MTV News in the clip below, Dirty Money discusses the direction of "Last Train to Paris." It's nothing that hasn't been said previously, but the interesting part of this clip is the brief peaks we get into the music video for "Love Come Down." Check it out.

On tonight's season finale of "P. Diddy's StarMaker," Diddy selected country singer Liz Davis as the newest artist on Bad Boy Records. She put her own stylings on Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman," competing with the other two remaining contestants, Todd Sarvies and Melody Angel. Angel was the first contestant of the three to be eliminated and of the remaining two, Diddy elected to sign Davis. She becomes the first country artist signed to Bad Boy. Congratulations to her.
Souldiggaz member Shaun Bless posted the video clip below, mentioning on his blog that he's in the studio working with Dirty Money.
When the Bad Boy Blog Twitter account was recently followed by @awe_ent, it looked as though Brian Angel of Day26 may have returned to Twitter, after leaving the service in April. But, I wanted to wait until I had something official to confirm it.
In the video below, Angel explains that he is back on Twitter and that the account is him. Welcome back.
Brian Angel of Day26 is featured on a new single from Houston rapper Trae tha Truth called "Something Real." The song also features Slim Thug and Plies. As Brian explains in the video below, he appears on the hook and for ad libs and remakes a portion of R&B group Jodeci's "Jodecidal Hotline." Listen to the track on XXLMag.com.

The Oi Fashion Rocks Brasil site has three clips from Dirty Money's recent performance at the October 24th concert/fashion show in Rio de Janiero. Unfortunately, the second clip is not working. But, the first clip shows the trio performing "I'll Be Missing You," while the third shows a mixed intermission of the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" and Diddy's verse from "Mo Money Mo Problems." The clips are labeled "Versace 1," "Versace 2" and "Versace 3." Hopefully the second clip will be fixed.

Unfortunately, the Billboard website is currently having some issues. The following charts are inaccessible: Billboard Comprehensive Albums, Tastemakers, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Catalog Albums, Hot 100 Recurrent Airplay, Hot Ringtones, Hot Adult Contemporary Recurrents, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Recurrents, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Recurrent Airplay and Hot Adult R&B Airplay. While Bad Boy likely didn't chart on most of these, there are a couple where they may have: for example, "Ready to Die" by The Notorious B.I.G. had charted on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Catalog Albums the previous week. I'll check back later to see if they fix the issue.

MTV has released a teaser for the season finale of "P. Diddy's StarMaker." Host Kimberly Caldwell informs the remaining three that they will be able to pick from any song previously sung on the show as well as a handful of new ones. They ponder the wall of 77 selections.
Singer Lauriana Mae was eliminated in Sunday's episode of "P. Diddy's StarMaker." She has a guest post farewell over at MTV's Remote Control blog.
In the clip below, Mase shows up at the V-103 Alanta studios during a visit from Diddy/Dirty Money. He claims to be in search of his "freedom" and has papers for Diddy to sign.
He enters the booth where Diddy, Dawn Richard and Kalenna are sitting alongside host Ryan Cameron and others, and the host makes the sort of excited proclamations you'd expect. Then there is a brief clip where Diddy is looking at some papers and seemingly signing them.
"Just to be clear: he has the freedom to go do whatever he wants to do," Diddy says when the interview resumes. "People that felt like ... I may have stopped him or whatever, he can do whatever he want to do. I'm trying to make everybody's crystal clear. If you want those Mase verses, you can get your hustle on right now. You know, he got a slick tongue, though. He a mean negotiator, so you better come with that gwop."

VH1 and Bad Boy Films have released the "supertrailer" for the second season of "I Want to Work for Diddy," premiering on November 2. Check it out below (warning: vulgarities and an inappropriate comment or two).
During today's appearance on BET's 106 & Park, host Rocsi asked Diddy who was still on Bad Boy, in light of the move to Interscope. "Everybody that's on the roster is still on the roster," he said. He stressed that future acts would be on Bad Boy/Interscope, as has been reported. "Nothing's really changed, it's just the future."
Dirty Money stopped by 106 & Park today to premiere the "Angels" video and host Terrence asked Diddy: "Who are some of the other producers and people that are associated with the movement of Dirty Money?" The group answered James Fauntleroy, Soul Diggaz, Rob Holladay, Mario Winans, Seven Aurelius, D-Mile, Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, DJ Prostyle and Aasim.
Day26 has been nominated in the "SOUL/R&B - Favorite Band, Duo or Group" category of the 2009 American Music Awards, airing on November 22 at 8 PM ET on ABC. You can vote for them online. They are going against The Black Eyed Peas and Mary Mary.
Over at the MTV Remote Control blog, recently eliminated "P. Diddy's StarMaker" contestant Omotayo Riley shares his thoughts on his exit. He's recording his first album now.
Clips from Diddy's recent appearance on Big Boy's Neighborhood on the Power 106 FM radio station have been posted on the Radio Big Boy site. There's not much in the way of news, but it's a nice, lighthearted interview. Check out a video clip below.

MTV's Shaheem Reid reports from the BET Hip-Hop Awards afterparties in Atlanta. One of the events was a birthday celebration for Young Jeezy and Dirty Money put on an ad hoc performance of "Angels" and "Love Come Down." Check out a short clip below.
The second season of "I Want to Work for Diddy" will premiere on VH1 on November 2. Details about the show have been relatively sparse, but if you check out the VH1 press site, you can see a picture of this season's contestants.
According to Diddy's Twitter, Dirty Money will be appearing on BET's 106 & Park tomorrow, Tuesday, at 6 PM ET.
Here's the MTV-released sneak peak to next Sunday's episode if "P. Diddy's StarMaker." After the final four arrive home from the latest elimination, they sit down for dinner and a toast.
Former "P. Diddy's StarMaker" contestant Monet Monico, eliminated in last night's episode has her final words over at MTV's Remote Control blog. She's now repped by Johnny Wright of Wright Entertainment Group, the one time manager of Danity Kane. You see him on the show, offering contestants advice and back stage with them before and after their performances.

On tonight's episode of "P. Diddy's StarMaker," both Monet Monico and Omotayo Riley were eliminated from the show, according to Monet's Twitter stream. This leaves Todd Sarvies, Lauriana Mae, Melody Angel and Liz Davis.
Yesterday, I mentioned an interview with producer Coptic, who mentioned that he had sold a track to Bad Boy for Diddy's solo album, way back when. A track that was supposed to feature Biggie.
I reached out to him on his MySpace and asked him if he knew if any vocals were ever recorded for the song. "I don't think vocals were ever laid to the track," he said. "I just don't know."
As I mentioned in the original piece, tracks are purchased and never used, so that's not odd. Plus, after Biggie died, the direction of Diddy's album changed.
In an interview with Ghana Music.com, music producer Coptic talks about his background and how he came up in the music business around Uptown Records and Bad Boy.
One interesting detail he mentioned was that, a few weeks before Biggie died, he sold a track to Bad Boy that was meant for Diddy's debut album, which eventually became known as "No Way Out." The track was meant to feature Biggie. But, after the untimely passing of Christopher Wallace, Coptic says he never heard from the track again.
It's unclear if vocals were ever laid to it - given the timing of it all, it's highly possible that it just ended up being an unused instrumental. But, we may never know.
Update: I talked to Coptic and he said that he doesn't know if vocals were ever recorded for the song.
In September, on "The Ed Lover Show", Diddy mentioned that he had talked with former Bad Boy artist Shyne, who is in the process of being released from prison. This month, Diddy mentioned that he "looked forward to this day."
Well, Shyne has released a statement to Rolling Stone and he says he never talked to Diddy. Here is the statement:
"I want it known that this supposed conversation is a figment of Sean Combs’ imagination. He never spoke with me, he never visited me nor would I ever accept a phone call or visit from him. The only way I would do either of those things would be if he stepped up and did the right thing for the victims of the incident."
This sounds like it's going to end well. I don't know why Diddy would make up such a conversation, knowing full well Shyne will just refute it. It doesn't really make sense. But, it's he said/he said. There has always been a lot of people talking about the Diddy/Shyne club incident that seem to know extremely little about it and have all of these ideas in their mind about how it must have gone down. That is only going to get worse.
Shyne shot a gun in a club, someone got hurt and he paid a debt to society. Fair or not, that's life. That isn't going to change and it's done with. He feels a certain way about Diddy and how Diddy defended himself, perhaps justified, perhaps not, and he's expressed that. But, when he does become a free man, I hope he takes it as an opportunity to move forward and create a better life.

MTV's recent "Hottest MCs in the Game" feature crowned Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne the top 2 MCs in the game at this particular moment. They asked Diddy about the list and he said that the top 2 would have to be Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne. He had some kind words for Wayne's Young Money label, comparing it to Bad Boy in '94. Back in September, we reported on Janelle Monae's work with Kia Motors for their Kia Soul Collective series.
As part of this work, they've released a track for free download. It's called "Come Alive (The War of the Roses)" and you can download it from the Janelle Monae area of their site. It was produced by Nate Wonder, Chuck Lightning and Janelle Monae for Wondaland Productions, mixed by Chris Carmouche at Farmhouse Recording Studio and mastered by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering LA.
You can now vote for Janelle Monae in the "Left Field Woodie" category of the 2009 mtvU Woodie Awards. According to Pollstar, they are dedicated to "honoring artists that have defined the college music scene over the past year." The show will air December 4 at 10 PM ET on mtvU.
Bad Boy's recent move to Interscope has left questions regarding the acts signed to the label at the time of the deal. It sounds as though Bad Boy may continue to distribute these artists through Atlantic. All signs point to them being with Atlantic in one form or another, however.
Willie Taylor of Day26 said as much when speaking to Rap-Up.com about the move. "It might be Bad Boy/Atlantic, it might just be Atlantic," he said. "Right now, it’s up in the air. We know we not gonna be Bad Boy/Interscope though. That’s not even part of the situation." According to the article, Diddy called the guys and broke the news to them himself.
In the clip below, Yung Joc is interviewed by ThisIs50. He talks about why he gave the "Grind Flu" album away for free, his future projects and more. He gives the impression that he has already been released from Bad Boy and/or Block Entertainment. "Due to the terms of my release, I can't even talk about the brother," he said when asked about Diddy. "God bless him." I'm seeking further confirmation on this story.
During an appearance at Sobe Live, Gorilla Zoe revealed that he would begin work on his upcoming third album on October 1 and that it would be due for a February release. Since his last album was released on Def Jam, I figured that everyone already knew that Shyne no longer had any contractual relationship as a recording artist with Bad Boy Records. But, I guess some were unclear, so Diddy confirmed it to AllHipHop.com.
"I looked forward to this day," Diddy said. "The whole situation was a tragic situation. He's a young man that has a whole life ahead of him to live to be successful and to come out here and put his foot in the game."
He had previously discussed the rapper's release on "The Ed Lover Show."
Vibe reports on the release of "More Careful," a new track from T-Pain where the singer addresses his recent statements about Jay-Z, which were made in response to the release of "D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)," the first single from Jay's latest album, "The Blueprint 3."
"All right, so let's talk about this Jay s***," he raps. "Some days I wish that I ain't never say s***. And Diddy said ain't no excuse for what I did. But, I felt like he was knocking the same sh*** that feeds my kids. I do music 'cause I need it to make my world spin. So when you down it, it's like you dissing my girlfriend." In an interview with Urban Spin Online, Day26 revealed that they are talking with MTV about a new season of "Making the Band." Check out the clip below.
According to a press release, Janelle Monae will support Raphael Saadiq during selected dates of his "Kings Keep Marchin' Tour."
As part of their cover feature with Diddy, BlackBook has teamed with the Bad Boy CEO to release a free iPhone app called Diddy's BlackBook.
The app promises Diddy-selected hotspots in 50 cities around the world, including shops, boutiques, bars, clubs, restaurants and hotels.
BlackBook has published the Nick Haramis-penned feature on Diddy. It's a nice read, mostly personal. One interesting, work related note is that Diddy turned down the role of a fashion designer in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada."
The role was portrayed by Daniel Sunjata in the film, which centers around the experience of a one time assistant to Vogue editor Anna Wintour. Diddy didn't want to risk angering her, as she'd been supportive of and helpful to him. They also have a photo gallery from their shoot with Diddy.
MTV News' Jayson Rodriguez spoke with Diddy recently and asked the Bad Boy CEO about the potential of a new album on Bad Boy from The Lox.
"I would definitely love to do the next LOX album," he told Rodriguez. He added that the two have been talking but that they actually need to hold a "real" meeting.
Related to the recent Bad Boy/Interscope news, Rodriguez writes that Diddy is "hard at work managing projects between the 'Scope and Atlantic, where a handful of his artists, including Cassie and Day26, still reside." Check out the video below.
Speaking with MTV News' Jayson Rodriguez, Diddy revealed a few high profile features that will make their way onto the upcoming "Last Train to Paris" album.
He named Drake, T-Pain, Rick Ross and Lil' Wayne as collaborators that he could confirm. He also said that Jay-Z is "supposed to be on the album." He also talked about the importance of the featured artists getting into the story line of the set. Check out the video below.
In the video below, rapper Royce Da 5'9" is asked about his work with Diddy, starting at the 6:20 mark. The interviewer, Ms. Drama, asks a bit of a funny question; suggesting that Diddy might ask Royce to "dumb it down" when it comes to the lyrical content.
"That's one thing he's never asked me for," Royce responded. "He's never came and said 'yo, that's too lyrical.' If anything it's like 'yo, put some lines in there.' He's fan of lyrics. It's just the overall sound, I think, when people hear it that they're under the impression that he wants to dumb everything down. But, I think he's just the opposite. I think he wants to figure out ways to combine both of the worlds. The very, very commercial 'I can sell this to anybody' world, but he wants to maintain that lyrical integrity because he's from the streets."

Check out the clip below of a sneak peak from the next episode of "P. Diddy's StarMaker." Rodney Jerkins and Johnny Wright present the contestants with their latest challenge: they're charged with putting together a melody that fits the lyrics that he has written. This is the reverse of what they had to do last week, when they had to write the lyrics to a track that he produced.
MTV has released a deleted scene from episode 7 of "P. Diddy's StarMaker." It features Johnny Wright speaking to the remaining contestants, except for Monet Monico, about their respective backgrounds.
On last night's episode of "P. Diddy's StarMaker," David Bennett was eliminated from the competition. He wrote about his exit on the MTV Remote Control blog.
