The "Coke Boys 3" mixtape from the French Montana-led group was supposed to be released on Monday, but obviously, it wasn't. The DatPiff.com page now says that it is coming soon.

Yesterday, Machine Gun Kelly tweeted that he was in front of a microphone and asked whether he should record a freestyle and release it the next day. He decided to do so.

The result is "Hated." You can download it for free and listen below, care of his Twitter.

Within the hour, I wrote about the lack of information and online availability of the physical release of Machine Gun Kelly's "Half Naked & Almost Famous" EP, which was supposed to be released today.

Not only couldn't I find a place to buy it online, but the physical release wasn't being promoted anywhere, not even on the Twitter pages of Machine Gun Kelly and Bad Boy Records.

It turns out, it was released today. Just minutes before my article went live, Machine Gun Kelly's frequent collaborator Slim Gudz posted a picture of some of the physical CDs, which he said were in stores now.

MGK fan Sharissa Ragland tweeted me shortly after I published the story to let me know that she had purchased copies from the FYE store in Chillicothe, Ohio. Since the CDs by Slim Gudz have the same pricing label, it seems that he purchased his CDs from FYE, as well.

Your best bet right now, if you are looking for a copy, is to call up your local music stores and ask if they have it. If you are looking for an FYE, check out their store locator. When and if it is available for purchase online, we'll have an update.

Update: Minutes before this post went live, MGK collaborator Slim Gudz posted a picture of some of the physical CDs, in stores today. It appears these CDs were purchased at an FYE store.

MGK fan Sharissa Ragland tweeted me shortly after I published the story to let me know that she had purchased copies at the Chillicothe, Ohio FYE store.

So, it appears that the CD was released today and, if you are trying to find one, you may want to check an FYE store near you (use their store locator). Right now, I don't know where it can be purchased online (it is not available on the FYE website), but your best bet is to call local stores and see if they are stocking it.

Original story: Back in February, Machine Gun Kelly revealed that the release date for the "Half Naked & Almost Famous" CD/DVD would be March 20.

The EP was released on that day - but only digitally through iTunes. I confirmed with a source at Bad Boy that a physical release was still coming on April 10.

However, no further information has come and nothing is being promoted. I can't find a way to buy it. There are no active listings for the CD on retail websites like Amazon.com and Best Buy. Amazon.com did have a listing for the physical release, but it now has a release date of December 31, 2020, which is obviously a placeholder for the data that was previously there, and you can no longer pre-order it.

I have been trying to get some answers, but have been unable to do so. Due to this, I am not sure what the status of the physical release is. If I hear anything, we'll have it here at Bad Boy Blog.

In an interview with Singersroom.com, Cassie talked about the difference between working with and without music producer Ryan Leslie.

Working Without Ryan Leslie…We haven’t worked with each other on this project. We definitely met up and tried to get together and stuff like that but the schedules just never matched up. He’s doing his artist think too so…I’m always prepared for a Ryan Leslie Collab though.

Working process Without Ryan…It’s fun both ways. With Ryan there was like a cohesive sound so there was no issue with things sounding different but I like working with different people and learning from different people and writers, producers and stuff like that; it’s really fun. My ear has grown a lot too because I really kind of had to fend for myself in a way.

XXL has released the "2012 XXL Freshman Mixtape," hosted by DJ Whoo Kid. Obviously, it features French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly, who were featured on the magazine's annual "Freshman" cover. Diddy and Red Cafe also appear.

Diddy makes his presence felt on three separate skits, the "Intro" with Whoo Kid, "MGK Skit" and "Laced Up Tatoo Skit." In those last two skits, he discusses the rapper's talent and whether or not he'll get a "Lace Up" tattoo, respectively. MGK's "One Time (Freestyle)" and "Wild Boy (Remix)" are included in the 23 track set.

French Montana contributes a new track, "Maybach Bad Boy" and the previous released "Killaz Theme" with Chinx Drugz. Two remixes of "Shot Caller" are also included. For the first, Whoo Kid took some previous released unofficial remixes by Young Jeezy and Tony Yayo and merged them into a single track. For the second, he merges both official remixes, creating a megamix that features Diddy, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, Styles P, Red Cafe, Fat Joe and Uncle Murda.
