This is the group's first appearance on the big board, giving Bad Boy it's first Hot 100 charting single since July 11 of last year when Gorilla Zoe's "Echo" last charted.

Vibe has launched a tournament (of sorts) aimed at selecting the greatest hip-hop producer of all-time based on online polls. Interestingly, while most of the 64 entrants are solo producers, they've lumped Diddy and The Hitmen together.
They have further quantified this as Sean "Diddy" Combs, Chucky Thompson, Steven "Stevie J" Jordan, Ron "Amen-Ra" Lawrence, Nashiem Myrick, Carlos "6 July" Broady, Jeffery "J-Dub" Walker, Yogi, Sean C & LV, Harve "Joe Hooker" Pierre, Mario "Yellowman" Winans, Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie, Richard "Younglord" Frierson, Steve "Rhythm" Clarke and Daven "Prestige" Vanderpool. (Steve "Rhythm" Clarke? I've never heard that before. Looking into it.)
Honestly, when you lump all of those people together, I find it hard to believe that most of the others have much of a chance. Just match up the pedigree, song by song, of those people while they were under The Hitmen banner. It's weird to pit more than a dozen people against one.
This is mainly a promotion to generate traffic and chatter, as lists are always controversial. But, why not vote, anyway. You can vote for Diddy by going to the Vibe site and clicking on Diddy's image.

In the two clips below, Grind Music Radio interviews Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie and he talks about several different Bad Boy related topics. This includes how D-Dot came to work at Bad Boy, how Biggie ended up being featured on "It's All About the Benjamins," Diddy's vision for The Hitmen and more. It's entertainment and a must watch for Bad Boy fans.
Regarding "Benjamins," D-Dot said that Biggie recorded his verse shortly before he died. He rhymed over the original beat, but Stevie J. put the alternate beat under his verse, the one that ended up on the finished cut, making it "epic."

Check out the clip below for a DJ Premier appearance on Grind Music Radio. Premo tells some pretty interesting stories about working with Biggie and Diddy as well as the creation of "Kick in the Door." Regarding the track, he explains how a certain line was directed at Jeru the Damaja and Premier, because of Premier's involvement in "One Day," a record that took some shots at Diddy and Bad Boy.
