Back in May, I posted a teaser for Fabolous' "Tonight/Love Come Down" music video featuring Red Cafe. The songs are from his "There is No Competition 2" mixtape (free download). The songs are from the rapper's "There is No Competition 2" mixtape ( free download). The second track is his take on the Dirty Money's "Love Come Down," featuring a Diddy sample.
Back in April of 2006, we learned that Bad Boy owned the city of New York for plastering posters around said city.
Over four years later, Diddy's name is in the headline of an article by Erin Einhorn at the Daily News, with city officials claiming that Bad Boy still (not Diddy) owes them $996,000 for the poster cleanup.
According to the writeup, a spokesman for Bad Boy called the bill a "bureaucratic error" and said that it had been paid by a partner company three years ago. Meanwhile, a city spokesman responded by saying their lawyers are reviewing the issue.
Einhorn says that Bad Boy is among "thousands" that owe the city $1.9 billion. The alleged $996,000 that Bad Boy (not Diddy) owes the city is 0.052421052631578945% of the $1.9 billion. That's right, 0.05%. It's unclear if the city actually named him specifically or if the Daily News simply picked him out of a list released by the city and included him in the headline to draw readers. But, either way, it seems odd and sensationalist.
Here are Bad Boy's positions on the most recent Billboard U.S. album and single charts, released today. Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning" falls slightly on the majority of charts, while Janelle Monae's "The ArchAndroid" holds firm.

Earlier this month, the Pop & Hiss blog over at the Los Angeles Times interviewed Bad Boy songwriter Makeba Riddick. Toward the end, it's noted that Riddick is working with Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins on a project from Diddy.
Jennifer Valentino-DeVries of The Wall Street Journal's Digits blog reports that eleven record labels have filed a lawsuit against adult website operators RK Netmedia and RealityKings.com (warning: inappropriate content) claiming copyright infringement through the unauthorized use of copyrighted songs more than 500 times.
A report by CHARTattack mentioned that Bad Boy was one of the eleven labels. Together, the group is requesting $150,000 per infringement, or unspecified damages and profits made by the defendants. They are also seeking an injunction to prevent the videos from being played further.
XBIZ Newswire spoke with Lawrence Walters, an attorney representing RK Netmedia. He suggested that there may be a fair use and freedom of speech issue.
"As a copyright holder, RK greatly respects the need to enforce one's intellectual property rights," said Walters. "That being said, there are some important fair use and 1st Amendment issues inherent in this action. It is RK's hope that we can achieve a resolution to this matter that protects both the plaintiff's copyright interests and RK's right to free expression and commentary on popular culture."
According to a copy of the complaint posted online, the Bad Boy songs that allegedly were infringed upon were The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo Money Mo Problems" (3 times) and "Hypnotize" (3), Gorilla Zoe's "Hood Figga" (3), Yung Joc's "It's Goin' Down" (13), Diddy's "I Need a Girl, Part 1" and "It's All About the Benjamins," Cassie's "Me & U" (9) and 112's "Dance With Me."
