From Entertainmentwise.com:

Diddy has struck up a friendship with Coleen’s fiancé – England international Wayne Rooney, after meeting through the Beckhams at their World Cup summer party. Rooney successfully bid to spend a week with the rapper. ...

A source told The Sun: “It was looking like Coleen’s 21st would be a let down…Diddy rescued the situation by making a special effort to turn up on the night.”

How much drama can a picture with Diddy create? Pitchfork has an article talking about what happened when El-P (a "groundbreaking artist, virtuosic producer, profound lyricist, label founder, A&R maverick and underground icon", according to his MySpace) took a picture with Diddy.

CNN.com has an article on the Diddy and Snoop European tour.

Snoop Dogg, 35, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, said Notorious B.I.G. would be amused to see the two musicians linking up.

"He is going to be smiling when he sees me and Puff (Combs) on the stage today," said the California rapper.

"That is all that matters, that the spirit of hip-hop lives on. Everything that was not right, we are getting right."

The "rivalry" part of the article is kind of blown up, I think. Snoop and Diddy have been pretty cool for a long, long time.

I just wanted to highlight this from HHNLive.com's interview with T'Yanna Wallace:

Quinton: How is your relationship with Diddy?

T'Yanna: That's my uncle Puff, I love him. He's busy a lot though. When he doesn't get to talk to me or my brother as much as he can I know it's not personal. It's because he's really busy all the time, but I love him for that.

Quinton: You know Puff is a hustler!

T'Yanna: [Laughs] Yeah!

I just thought it was nice to hear. After Biggie died (especially after the first few years of him being gone), some people really got into speculating all sorts of nonsense. Biggie wanted to leave Bad Boy, Biggie wasn't friends with Diddy, Biggie wanted to sign to Death Row, etc. etc. etc. At the end of the day, if you listen to what Biggie said himself, you get a pretty clear picture.

Updating a previous story, the person who accused Diddy of assault recently in Hollywood has now filed suit.

From CentreDaily.com:

Gerard Rechnitzer is seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages in the suit, which was filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

From stuff.co.nz:

... the police spokesman said he could not confirm that Combs, 37, was the subject of the investigation. Combs' lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, called the lawsuit "completely baseless".

From CNN.com:

"It is just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat-out lie to try to take advantage of Mr. Combs' celebrity status," Brafman said in a statement. "Mr. Combs did not hit anyone, and Mr. Rechnitzer suffered no injuries or damages whatsoever. There is no case. It is that simple."

As an update to our previous articles, a BBC article mentions that the judge actually did rule that the use of Diddy on MySpace and YouTube is a violation of the agreement.

Lord Justice David Kitchen ruled the use of the name Diddy on the MySpace and YouTube websites was a breach of the agreement but Mr Combs' control over them would now be the subject of a full High Court hearing, which has been scheduled for October. ...

A spokesman for P Diddy described the decision not to issue an injunction against the rapper as a "victory for common sense".

This is also kind of funny, where the judge broke down the lyrical content of "The Future".

The judge ruled: "The second verse (of the song) refers to Mr Combs as 'Diddy' as he invites the listener to 'mainline this new Diddy heroin'. Mr Combs expressly refers to iTunes and asks the listener to 'Download me in every resident'. He refers to his CD as 'my CD's in 3-D holograms', and finally refers to his shows with the words, 'the live show's a hard act to follow, man'.

"I see this as straightforward advertisement by Mr Combs of his CD, his songs which can be downloaded from iTunes and his live shows, all under and by reference to the word 'Diddy'."

lol. Good stuff. Of course, Diddy can be Diddy in all countries that are not the United Kingdom, as far as I know. So, the lyrics aren't important... on any CDs that are released outside of that country.

A couple days ago, there were some pictures posted online of Justin (Diddy's oldest son at 12) dancing rather ... well, provacatively... with some older women. Obviously, a story that gossip sites dream about. I held off on mentioning it as I wanted to see where the story led and how it was substanciated. So, here is a story from EURweb.com including quotes from Justin's mom, Misa Hylton.

Responding to the photos, Hylton told New York’s Hot97 gossip girl Miss Info that the lapdance happened at a teen party in New Jersey, neither she nor Diddy were in attendance and they do not condone the behavior at all.

Hylton also said that she fired the security team that was supposed to be watching Justin that night, citing negligence.

News on the new Dearlove case: a British court has ruled that the lyric "mainline that Diddy heroin" from "The Future" on "Press Play" is a violation of the deal they had previously agreed to.

However, the judge also found that "record companies" were responsible for the content of Diddy's MySpace and YouTube pages and since record companies were not part of the claim, the matter couldn't be considered. The article mentions the next scheduled legal proceeding:

The extent of Combs' control over the content of the MySpace and YouTube sites will now be the subject of a full High Court trial scheduled for October, unless attempts at a compromise between the two sides are successful.

From Charleston Daily News:

Sean "Diddy'' Combs was accused of battery at a Hollywood hotel the day of the Academy Awards, police said.

Police took a report from someone who accused Combs of battery at the famed Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel on Sunday, said Officer Jason Lee, a police spokesman, on Tuesday.

Not too much is know right now. We'll have to see how the story develops.
