If you listen closely to the end of this video, you hear some music that we haven't heard before. It starts after the finish of a normal sounding "Diddy Rock" track. Is this an alternate mix of "Diddy Rock"? Total speculation, so don't run with it or anything. But, I've contacted someone to ask. I'll report back when I hear something.

Makes sense, for the most part. Not sure about the college degree part. I guess it's one way to weed people out. As I mentioned, I would have given this a shot if I didn't have my own company. But, even if that was the case, I don't have a college degree - I skipped college to start my own company, so I wouldn't be able to, anyway. :)

24dash.com has this quote from Kim Porter on the split, attributing it to a statement issued to Entertainment Tonight.

"After 10 years, I have decided to end my on-again/off-again relationship with Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

"In ending this relationship, I made a decision that was in the best interests of myself, Sean and our family. I look forward to moving on with my life and my career, and wish him prosperity, health and happiness in life and in love. We will remain friends and committed parents to our children."

I just watched it. He was there to promote Making the Band 4, basically. But, they spent most of the time joking around. Diddy talked about when he takes vacations, he talked about his talks, about how he had just had shots in preparation of concert he's going to be doing in Nigeria shortly. He said that he's thinking that 3-4 people will end up in the Making the Band 4 group. He also mentioned that, as a kid, his mother would send him to live with an Amish family for the summer. It was a positive experience and he praised the Amish as having a lot of love for each other. That was most of it.

That's pretty cool, actually. Will be interesting to see if someone from YouTube gets chosen.

Diddy will be on the Late Show with David Letterman tonight at 11:35 PM ET. On the site, he's listed as a guest with no song associated. So, he shouldn't be performing.

I'm sorry to hear this:

Diddy and girlfriend Kim Porter are splitting up, just months after she gave birth to twin girls, the couple announced Tuesday (July 10), according to The Associated Press. In a recent cover story in Essence, the two declared love for each other, although he admitted he was an "ex-player" and wasn't ready to marry Porter. "Do you really think that God meant for a man to have just one wife?" he said in the magazine. Diddy and Porter already had a son when he was seeing Jennifer Lopez, but Diddy eventually reunited with his former girlfriend, even after she took him to court seeking increased child-support payments.

From The Independent:

Consider, for example, his description of hip-hop impresario P Diddy, with whom he launched a hugely successful cologne last year: "He's a unique business. He's a celebrity. He's a brand. He's a cultural movement. What I mean by that is that anyone under 35 years old listens to R&B and hip-hop music. Whether he is the most talented musician or not, he is at the epicentre of the creation of that world. Young people view him as a lifestyle."

He goes on: "In a funny sort of way, he's the hip-hop Ralph Lauren. Because many, many years ago, Ralph Lauren created a brand and a lifestyle that people sort of aspired to be part of. [P Diddy] is modern-day aspiration."
