NME has the dates on a newly announced five day tour of the U.K. by Janelle Monae, including stops in Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London, from February 24 through March 1.
Janelle Monae is featured on the November 29 issue of
The Big Issue in the North, a U.K. weekly with an
interesting story.
Her official site has scans of the interview.
As I was listening to the
downloadable edition of "Last Train to Paris: The Prelude," I noticed some differences from the version that is
available for streaming on Vogue.com.
Namely, brief, spoken interludes from Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, Janelle Monae and Fab 5 Freddy were included. An additional introduction from Diddy is on the final track and a few of the fashion icons included for the Vogue.com mix are not here, though André Leon Talley, Marc Jacobs and Isaac Mizrahi remain.
With both
Diddy and
Janelle Monae participating in their "Do You Flip?" promotional campaign, Flip Video is now offering their video cameras with customized designs inspired by the artwork behind
Dirty Money's "Last Train to Paris" album (
second design) and
Janelle Monae's "The ArchAndroid" album.

"Last Train to Paris" V2 and
"The ArchAndroid."
The pricing of their product range runs from $149.99 to $229.99.

On Twitter,
Diddy has shared a free download link for the clean, main (dirty) and instrumental versions of Dirty Money's "A** on the Floor" featuring Swizz Beatz.
Janelle Monae will be featured in an upcoming public service announcement on behalf of the Big Ten Women's basketball conference. It will premiere on Sunday on the Big Ten Network and will air on that network, CBS Sports and ESPN2 during the 2010-2011 basketball season.
"I appreciate basketball," Monae said in a press release. "I love the teamwork and their rhythm and coordination. When I was making Tightrope, I wanted it to be a very empowering song, and I've always looked at it as an empowering song for those in the sports and music because there are so many highs and lows to what it is that we do and we have to keep our balance in it all."
