Earlier this month, GQ interviewed French Montana about Versace, a brand he's been wearing lately, and fashion in hip-hop.
GQ: You pay homage to Biggie a lot but how would you classify your style?
French Montana: I like colorful stuff. I like wearing stuff that nobody is wearing. That's why I wear the bear hat. I'll wear the whole mink. You wear the animal, but you don't wear the head. I'm wearing the head this time around. It's just like how I took the silk shirt game to another level and went and got the scarves—looked like King Jaffe Joffer out there. You know?
Earlier today, Billboard released their charts for the week of July 28. French Montana's "Pop That" saw impressive gains, including a debut on the Hot 100, the chart that represents the top 100 songs in the country, regardless of genre.
The single marks Montana's first on the big board, with the song coming in at #90.
French Montana has shot a music video for "Headquarters," off of his "Coke Boys 3" mixtape. The song features Red Cafe and Chinx Drugz. HIP HOP CONNECTION has behind the scenes footage.
