Skepta tweets that his grime mix of Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning" will premiere in the U.K. on KISS 100 on Monday at 12 AM (midnight). If you are in the U.K., you can listen online. But, if you're in the U.S. like me, you won't be able to do so.
Skepta says that this will mark the "1st U.S. artist to ever flow on grime."
In May, Diddy announced that he would not host a White Party in 2010 and had, instead, teamed up with M&M's to host a party with a color selected by online votes. Along with this, a "Party Like Diddy" sweepstakes as launched, giving you a chance to win travel and accommodations for you and 20 of your friends, along with the opportunity to meet Diddy and help plan the party.
The color and winner have now been announced. Ms. Green was voted the favorite color/character, with 23 percent of 3.4 million votes. Meanwhile, the sweepstakes winner is B.C. Ashmall-Liversidge of Brooklyn, NY.
Diddy will now host the M&M's Green Party in New York City in September.
The "Lopez Tonight" website has the full video from last night's appearance by Diddy/Dirty Money. Lopez interviewed Diddy, then he brought out Dawn Richard, Kalenna and Rick Ross and spoke with them as well. Later, Dirty Money performed "Hello Good Morning" with Rick Ross. It was a great performance.
The last that we heard, Dirty Money's "Last Train to Paris" was due for a September 20 release date. That is no longer the case. In the clip below, Diddy announces his August/September cover feature in Vibe, and notes that the album will be released in October. He declined to provide a specific date.
"Yeah, I know I've been saying a lot of dates, so I'm not even going to tell y'all the exact date," he said. "But, at least know the month. The month is October."
Vibe has posted some snippets from their interview with Diddy for the cover story in their August/September issue. One of the questions, deals with Martin Bashir's questioning of him during his June appearance on ABC's "Nightline." This was his answer:
There were times in the interview when I had to give him an ultimatum. The questions weren’t being handled the right way. In hindsight, when I saw him I shouldn’t had done the interview because I know the style of interview that he does . . . The whole thing about giving a Maybach to my son, that’s really like a racist question. You don’t ask White people what they buy their kids. And they buy ‘em Porsches and convertible Bentleys and it ain’t no question. It’s really a racist question and put things back in perspective with money and the way that people still look at you. And I’m not saying that consciously he’s a racist. But he probably don’t even realize that he would not ask Steve Jobs that. He would be like Steve Jobs has that money and that’s the gift his kid is supposed to get.
The big announcement that Diddy hinted at yesterday, in regard to his guest editor stint at Vibe.com today, is that he'll cover the August/September issue of Vibe Magazine, alongside Dirty Money, Cassie, Janelle Monae, Red Cafe and Rick Ross. Here's a clip of Diddy talking about the cover:
