Reuters has some quotes from Diddy while MTV has a full interview with Diddy from the Sundance Film Festival, where "A Raisin in the Sun" is being screened.

MTV: There are so many difficult moments in here for an actor. Tell us about the scene you look at and say, "Yeah, I nailed that one."

Diddy: The scene in "Raisin in the Sun" I feel I nailed was at the end, when I'm telling Mr. Lindner that we're going to move into our house and that we are very proud people. It's probably one of the last scenes that we did. I think you'll see the evolution of my character and also me as an actor.

News has been spreading fast that Diddy has changed his official stage name once again - this time to Sean John. I've held off on reporting it because, well, something is a bit funny here.

Everyone who reported it referred to a quote in the Daily Star or the Daily Mail. I don't understand why Diddy would announce it to a publication that is outside of the United States, where the announcement would make the most impact and generate the most buzz.

Sensing this strangeness, I reached out to a few different people to make sure I could verify it before I reported it. A few minutes ago, I heard from an official spokesperson for Mr. Combs. "Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy. He is currently in "Sean John" mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8th in New York," she said.

So, there you have it. It's not true.

From E! Online:

A Los Angeles judge has set May 27 as the start date for a civil case filed by a California man, who contends he was assaulted by the rap impresario at a Hollywood nightclub last year.

The news comes after Tuesday hearing and following the depositions of four witnesses, all of whom testified under oath that Combs punched Gerald Rechnitzer around 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 26, 2007. The alleged slugging took place after the two left a post-Oscar bash at chic night spot Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

This is a cool video. At the end, you'll see a little promo for Ciroc as Diddy gives Felli a bottle.

Last week, MTV ran an article (cache) describing a track with Diddy called "Party All the Time". The song, produced by Danja, would sample the Eddie Murphy track of the same name. Previously, MTV had reported that Diddy would sing on the Fat Joe album.

After the article went up however, MTV updated it to note:

Since Joe interviewed with us earlier in the week, the "Party All the Time" cover has been removed from his album. Joe has recorded a number of songs for his opus and is still finalizing it.

Unfortunately, this would make it seem like Diddy will not appear on his album. I've submitted a request to Fat Joe's new distribution home, Imperial Records, for comment.

From the AP:

Four eyewitnesses support a man's assertion that Sean "Diddy" Combs assaulted him and his girlfriend at a post-Oscar party at a Hollywood nightclub last year, according to court papers filed by the plaintiff's attorney.

Shaheem Reid reports on last week's Chris Brown show at Madison Square Garden, where Diddy came on stage in support, performing "It's All About the Benjamins" and "Last Night".

Most of them didn't even have to physically be there to make an impact (more on that later). But three stars — who happen to be as perennially loved in New York as the Giants (at least when Eli Manning isn't turning over the ball) — did show up live and in living color: Diddy came out for "All About the Benjamins" and "Last Night," while Juelz "Stunting Hard in My White Mink Coat" Santana made a surprise cameo on "Run It."

Probably the biggest surprise entrance of the night was that of the G-Unit's Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo and, of course, 50 Cent, who once again shook the building with "I Get Money." ...

After Diddy had the crowd singing, there was a momentary break, and the DJ announced that he would be playing a record and wanted everyone to sing along if they knew it. Only he didn't mention that the person whose song it was would be there too. The stage went black, and the "I get money/ I get, I get ... " began. The spotlight came on, and out pounced the G-Unit. Chris Brown scampered out shortly after to dance with 50 and the gang.

From SixShot.com:

What was it like writing for Diddy's Press Play album?

Working with Diddy was a cool experience. He is a fun guy to kick it with. We were in Miami on Star Island at the studio. Timbaland was there and a few other writers and we just made music. It was dope but working with Diddy is like a vacation for me. It’s just so many chefs cooking food and free drinks (laughs) and it always seems to be sunny outside. Man it was just the bomb! (Laughs)
