Check out the video below to hear "On the Shelf" by Aasim (you end up missing parts of it because of the spoken parts that play over the song at times). In the song, he talks about his life at Bad Boy and the perception that people may have about it from the outside.
Thanks Theo.
XXLmag.com has a new track from Aasim featuring Joell Ortiz. It's called "Go Off."
Thanks Theo.
Aasim has a new track on his MySpace called "We Like to Party." Check it out.
From Aasim's Twitter:
MY DEBUT ALBUM "NO RADIO" IN STORES FIRST QUARTER JAN 2010
This follows his MySpace page adding a countdown for the album, with the countdown ending in January 2010 (albeit on a day that isn't possible).
Aasim's MySpace has a clock counting down to the release of his debut album. It gives an album title, "No Radio," and the date it counts down to is January 17, 2010. This isn't correct, however, as that is a Sunday and albums are released on Tuesdays. Perhaps it is January 19, then. But, in any case, I would take it as a loose date at best. It's so far away that it can and quite possibly will change.
Aasim is now on Twitter as aasimtheanswer. This was confirmed by Rome from the Bad Boy street team.
Via Theo.
During the latest episode of P. Twitty TV (watch below), with Aasim in tow, Diddy said that the rapper's album would be "one of the best albums out of the East Coast, out of New York, in the last five years." No release date has been provided. During the clip, it sounds like an unnamed Aasim track is playing in the background.
Aasim's MySpace has a number of new tracks, including "Be Right There" featuring Donnie Klang, "So Shwanky", "Blackbirds", "Proceed", "Beast" and "I'm Leavin'" featuring Wize G.
There's some new music from Aasim on his MySpace. The songs are "Customer", "Go Wit Me", "Ask Me Why", "My Story" and "Say Yes". The first two are downloadable.
Aasim's "Customer" will be featured on the scoundtrack to EA Sports' NBA Live 08, releasing to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable on October 2 and the PC on October 30.
