From the press release:

The Flyntstones are also dialoguing with Conrad "Rad" Dimanche, Senior A&R of Bad Boy Records, on his upcoming projects. Conrad met with The Flyntstones in Orlando earlier this year and said, "You guys have a special sound" - which was something positive coming from one of the top A&Rs in the music industry. Rad also handpicked one of the The Flyntstones' hottest tracks, which is armed with heavy drums, a rock "wah wah" guitar riff and raunchy cellos, to give to Bad Boy's Vice President, Gwen Niles, for possible consideration on Cassie's (Next Selection/Bad Boy) upcoming album.

I actually missed this until prompted to take a little closer look by BBB commenters Mia and dani (thanks!) - Cassie is the girl featured prominently in the new Burger King commercial. I have adjusted the entry to include her.

Cassie posted a blog entry mentioning that she's been in the studio working on her second album. She posted a song called "Sometimes" (featuring a rap from Ryan Leslie) on her MySpace, but mentions that it may not make the album and is not, necessarily, the direction that they want to go in.

The New York Times has an article on interludes where Ryan Leslie talks about the fact that, while they recorded interludes for the album, it was decided to go interludeless.

But Ryan Leslie, a Bad Boy Records collaborator who produced the No. 1 R&B hit “Me & U” for Cassie last summer, decided not to include interludes on Cassie’s self-titled debut album, which he also produced, even though several had been recorded. “Until we can train a new generation to get into the full creative vision of the artist, the need for interludes may be diminishing,” Mr. Leslie said. But “once we get people to say, ‘O.K., this artist is much more than a song,’ like with a Stevie Wonder, I think you’ll see a resurgence.”

The New York Times has a write up on Cassie.

After a fall tour of Japan, she returned home to New London for Christmas. Within days, she jetted off to Paris, where she performed on “Hit Machine,” France’s answer to “T.R.L.” Currently, she is preparing for a spring tour of Africa and Dubai, and making inroads toward recording a follow-up to “Cassie” in New York.

Cassie mentions that she'll be presenting at the NRJ Awards. She and Diddy are both nominated for awards, as well.

You can view the cover on Cassie's MySpace. As a warning, there is slight nudity on the cover (it's not Cassie).

They have a photospread up at the FHM France site, as well.

I talked about the non album track, "When Your Body is Talking" by Cassie a little while back. You can now listen to it on her MySpace.

So, there is this tabloid type of website that throws out all these crazy, damaging rumors. This is done to get links, get traffic, get attention and... in the end, get money. I saw the "report" but knowing the source, simply declined to give it any attention. This is the type of site that, really, the only people that leap to believe it are those with an axe to grind. I'm not even going to link to it. Basically, it said that Cassie and Ryan Leslie were working to get her released from Bad Boy with the major reason being harassment. Basically, they choose to imply that Diddy was sexually harassing her. My reaction: yeah, right. I'm not even sure that Cassie had more than 1 album deal with Bad Boy, anyway. But, Cassie has chosen to address it, so I wanted to mention it. Watch below.

From IndyStar.com:

By placing himself on a major-label remix, Indianapolis-based rapper Benjamin "Kayo" Priest helped generate airplay for a song that otherwise received none.

Noticing ["Long Way 2 Go's"] mediocre performance, Kayo contacted Bad Boy promotional executive Rich Dollaz and offered to add a verse of rhymes to "Long Way 2 Go's" middle section. Dollaz liked what he heard, and DJ Orion eventually added Kayo's version to his mix shows on WNOU-FM (93.1).

Not a quote, unquote official remix, but as it got an OK from Bad Boy, I thought I'd go ahead and mention it. You can listen and download on Kayo's MySpace.
