Update: We are now closed to questions. Thank you.
It looks like we'll be doing an interview with Day26, so I wanted to go ahead and put a call out for fan questions. What questions would you like to ask Day26? Please leave suggestions in the comments and leave as many as you would like. Thanks!
Edit: Please no questions about tour stops as they do not plan their tours. Sorry.
Cool idea. Check out the article at E! Online for more.
“Ciroc Vodka is an ultra premium luxury vodka which epitomizes the ‘Art of Celebration,’” says Diddy. "It’s our social obligation to promote responsible drinking and generate public awareness on the necessity of designating a driver. With the help of some great celebrity friends and E! Entertainment, we were able to create a campaign that will resonate with viewers and ultimately drive home the message that any designated driver is a star. If you plan to drink, plan a cab or safe ride home.”

The show is from 8 PM to 11 PM. JC and Three 6 Mafia will also be there.

Update: It's just come to my attention that TMZ doesn't seem to offer direct links in their videos. Scroll down and look for the video titled "Drunk Girls, Take 2: Who's Your Diddy?"
Take a look at this video and tell me Diddy's not a patient man with random fans/people. Wow. Those girls were crazy, rude and (most likely) inebriated. Vulnerable place for Diddy to be in, but well handled.

I just had a brief conversation with LOS and he told me that he was no longer with Bad Boy.
"I will just sum it up and say there were some details that had nothing to do with me," he said. "It was more on the business side of things. So, a mutual agreement was set as far as the split. It's kind of painful for both teams, but it was best at that point. There is no bad blood or nothing, though. Of course, I've got big things about to happen now and a major is in the future. Which one, I don't know, yet. But, I've got some options, though."
It's kind of a shame from my perspective because I did feel that LOS had potential and was wishing for Bad Boy to get behind him. I really liked his verse on the "Music for Love" remix on his MySpace. But, stuff happens. We wish him well.
People reports that Aubrey O'Day will be joining the cast of "Hairspray" on Broadway, beginning on July 18.
In a video posted on her MySpace, Cassie announced that the video (and single release) of "Official Girl" is due out on August 1. Watch below.
HipHopDX.com has an interesting interview with D-Dot where he talks about his Bad Boy days, why he left and the current state of The Hitmen. Definitely worth a read.
DX: When American Gangster [click to read] dropped last fall, Sean C and LV were being hailed as the ‘new’ Hitmen. You were considered captain of the Hitmen back in the day, was that like a slap in the face being that the days of the real Hitmen are a pivotal point in Hip Hop?
DD: I don’t think, as I haven’t worked at Bad Boy since 1998. I haven’t been a Hitman since 2000. Puffy and I have been best of friends since 1987. I am going to be 40 years old in July. It wasn’t a slap in the face, it was just time for Puffy to move on, but by the way, Sean C and LV ... are not Hitmen, that was just Puffy trying to reinvigorate an era that a lot of people like yourself, and from MTV and BET and all these various magazines, that era was very special to people and a lot of people to these days cherish those times. A lot of people don’t want to let that go, and Puffy is trying to capitalize off that by finding new Hitmen, but those days are kind of over. Sean C and LV are like best friends to me, they helped Puffy make a Jay-Z album that he needed the help with, and that was it. They are not Hitmen to this day, they don’t move as Hitmen, and there are no Hitmen at this point right now and anyone who wants to be a Hitmen, the first question they ask is about me.
"Slap in the face?" What, there can never be a Hitmen production team without D-Dot? That was Diddy's team of producers - not D-Dot's. Diddy gave D-Dot an opportunity and D-Dot was a talented individual who took advantage of it and was successful. Would I like it if D-Dot were still working with Bad Boy? Sure. But, that's life. People move on. He doesn't have to be a part of a production team for it to be called The Hitmen. It was a special time, a special group of people that Diddy assembled. It's a rare thing and nothing lasts forever. It doesn't mean that Diddy can't assemble a new team.
Anyway, D-Dot's answer doesn't seem farfetched - necessarily. Afterall, how many producers would actually be a part of it right now, presumably? Diddy, Sean C, LV and Seven Aurelius? Mario Winans? Anyone else? It's not immediately clear who is and who isn't - there are mixed signals coming from MySpaces, from album booklet credits and elsewhere. In their interview with UGO.com earlier this month, Sean C and LV said they are only considered Hitmen when they work with Diddy on a track. Their own projects are not considered to be as part of The Hitmen. So, are they partial Hitmen? Who knows.
However, this much is true: on the most recent season of Making the Band 4, Diddy said ( view video), "... one of my go to producers from The Hitmen, Seven." So, there is something there. What it is, I don't know, because Bad Boy is seemingly pretty tight lipped about it and I've asked before. So, I'm not sure if what D-Dot is saying is accurate. By his own admission, he hasn't worked with Bad Boy since 1998 or been one of The Hitmen since 2000.
I've reached out to someone at Bad Boy who could comment on it and we'll see what I can find out.
Watch below. I'm not a huge fan of the team, but this was a good performance. Good energy. They're entertaining.

According to Diddy's MySpace, Donnie Klang's debut album, "Just a Rolling Stone", has been pushed back one week, to August 26.
I'm watching the BET Awards afterparty right now and Diddy is all over it. Ciroc's paying some money for this one, that's for sure. But, great for a Bad Boy fan. Leave a comment if you're watching it! I'll update this post if anything else hits me...
lol at Diddy yelling to get Nelly, Chris Brown and D.L. Hughley some drinks and then yelling to Brown, who is underage, "we're gonna get you some water!"
Cassie came on for a little while with Lauren London and spoke with Keri Hilson. Hilson asked London if she could sing and she hesitated but said yes, Puff said she could, so where is her Bad Boy contract? Diddy yelled something amd then they sent it over to Big Tigger, who said he wished he was by the bar with Cassie and London. So, Diddy brought them over, everybody laughing.
This is pretty classic for Bad Boy and Diddy fans, I'd have to say. Diddy is passing through the frame at random times causing hilarity. Good stuff.
Day26 came through and talk about the show for a minute.
Diddy was speaking with Keri Hilson and the other female host (name escapes me, sorry) at the end when they brought up the subject of best dressed. At this point, Diddy broke out into a pose and, of course, they gave it to him. But, Hilson said he always gets it, so that's not fair. Funny moment.
And that's it for tonight!
Just updating my last post, Diddy presented the award Best Female R&B Artist for with Lauren London. They completed each other, Diddy said hip-hop is alive (citing Lil' Wayne's sales numbers) and urging people to vote (for Obama).
It also included a Ciroc product placement where Diddy brought up a woman carrying two glasses. Along with London, he toasted the BET Awards show. Before the nominees came up, he yelled, "let the party begin!"
The award went to Alicia Keys with Diddy holding it for her while she spoke, due to it's weight.
Unfortunately, neither Danity Kane nor Day26 took home the Best Group award in the BET Awards '08. UGK won it.
On a Bad Boy note, Cassie joined David Banner, Randy T. Jackson, Soulja Boy and Solange on stage to present the award for Best Collaboration and to urge people to vote.
Ciroc had a number of ad spots and is sponsoring the after party.

Though their performanced wasn't announced on the show until the break before their appearance, Danity Kane took the stage on tonight's episode of "Nashville Star", performing "Damaged". It went pretty well, I thought. The one miscue was Aundrea dropping what appeared to be a bracelet at one point. However, it didn't really throw her and she continued the performance. All around, pretty solid.
Singersroom.com reports that Day26 will be premiering their new video on MTV's FNMTV on Friday at 8:00 PM ET.
Watch below. (Some explicit language).
Danity Kane will be performing "Damaged" on NBC's "Nashville Star" tonight at 9:00 PM ET.
Speaking to MTV, Gorilla Zoe explained the meaning behind the title, "Don't Feed the Animals":
Why'd they get him started? Gorilla Zoe told us last week in Atlanta that being able to eat has only made him hungrier. After he released his debut album, Welcome to the Zoe, several months ago, he jumped right back in the studio to record mixtapes and his sophomore LP.
"Really, it means that I've tasted success," Zoe explained of the album's title, Don't Feed the Animals. "It's over now! You know how when you go to the zoo and your parents tell you, 'Don't feed the animals. Don't give them the peanuts, 'cause they gonna want more. Don't feed a dog raw beef — he's gonna wanna taste that blood again.' I've done tasted that money, homie. That's what it means. Get-money time."
I mentioned yesterday that Danity Kane's "Damaged" had been featured on the last episode of MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew". SASSx7 performed to the track (or, at least, a chopped up version of it). You can check out a clip below.
According to a press release published at top40-charts.com, the release of Gorilla Zoe's second album, "Don't Feed the Animals", is slated for September 23.
The New York Times spoke with Joe Long, the owner of Birdell's, a record store that's located on Nostrand Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. He says that when rap began, he resisted putting it in his store. He finally relented after two years.
Over that period I got to know Biggie Smalls. He was just hanging out at the barber shop, used to party over there up on St. James Place. He used to come down to the store and say, “Birdell, I want you to help me get beats, tracks, ’cause I know you know them old blues and the good music.” I said: “Aw, Biggie, I don’t have time for that. I’ll tell you what I’ll do. Get you a record player and I’ll let you go downstairs in the basement.”
So he and his partner would come every day three or four months straight, every day but Saturdays, and he would say, “I’m going to be big one day, Birdell.” I said, “Aw, you ain’t going to be nothing.”
Julie Creswell at The New York Times has an article discussing celebrity brands. Diddy is highlighted.
Last fall, the rapper-impresario Sean Combs created a 50-50 joint venture with Diageo, the spirits giant, for Mr. Combs to be the brand manager of the Ciroc vodka line. Mr. Combs says he made the profit-sharing deal only after refusing to work solely as a pitchman.
“My brand is rocket fuel. It would take this brand 10 years to get to where I can take it in one year,” he says. “I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t want to do just endorsements. I want ownership.”
What's your favorite dance remix from the recently released "Damaged Remix EP"? After purchasing it and listening to every one of the mixes, I have to say that my personal favorite is the "DJ Richie Rich X-Mix Remix". You?
Cassie posted three image stills from the "Official Girl" video on her MySpace. Lil' Wayne is featured in one of them.
From The FINANCIAL:
Ford's distinctive all-new vehicle - the 2009 Ford Flex - will bring some of the hottest names in Hip Hop & R&B to the red carpet Tuesday evening for events surrounding the BET Awards '08—often dubbed as the "hottest ticket on television."
Danity Kane, Day26 and Janelle Monae will be some of the celebrities included.
The Sentinel reports that Danity Kane is perfoming at King's Fair in Hanover, CA on July 11.
MTV spoke with Cassie about the lead single from her upcoming album, "Official Girl". She also talked about the appearance of Lil' Wayne on the track and how it came to be. Watch below for a video clip.
"Puff surprised me with it," the singer said of Wayne's verse. "He laid the verse. I had no idea. I got on the phone and said, 'Thank you.' It's great. With how he's doing now ... he's platinum today, and he decided on his platinum day to be here with me. It's great. He's one of the best rappers out right now."
BuddyTV reports that "Damaged" was one of the songs featured in the latest episode of "America's Best Dance Crew".
The Grand Rapids Press reports that Danity Kane will be performing in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 5. Ray J, Lil' Jon and Tank will also be performing. The show starts at 10:00 PM.

The nominations are in and both Danity Kane and Day26 are nominated for this year's Teen Choice Awards. Danity Kane has received a nomination in the category for "Best R&B Track" for "Damaged" and Day26 is nominated for "Breakout Group". Making the Band 4 also received a nomination for "Best Reality Music Competition". The 2008 Teen Choice Awards are scheduled to air August 4th at 8 PM Eastern on Fox.
This has been floating around for a while, but I've been waiting for some form of confirmation. At any rate, an image posted on Yung Joc's MySpace (see below) indicates that "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood" is due out this fall.
The album listing at PMP Worldwide provides the same title, but says that the album is due for a first quarter 2009 release. Both dates should be taken loosely.
Danity Kane and Day26 want you to vote for your favorite track from Day26's self titled album, as well as "Welcome to the Dollhouse". You can cast your vote for Danity Kane and Day26 on their respective MySpace pages.
I love this song, but it reminds me too much of "Conceited" by Remy Ma. Cassie adds her own little twist to it though. I can't wait for a new video from her.
Check out this video, dealing mainly with the fact that the upcoming "Notorious" film was shot on location in NYC. It features cast and crew discussing the importance of this.

THR.com has part 1 of their interviews with Diddy. It's a great read. Check out the video below, as well, for parts of the interview.
THR: What can you tell us about "Notorious"? Derek Luke is playing you. What's he getting right, what's he getting wrong?
Combs: It's hard to play me. But somehow he did it. He took the time to sit down and ask the questions and go to see deeper what was behind what was on television or the media. He was able to capture that and capture my heart.
The crazy thing is still being young and having somebody play you in a movie and still active. I'm probably going to have a movie open or be shooting down the block when this movie opens.
Listen to "Boo Koo" by Yung Joc on his MySpace.
According to the Bad Boy Records website, Danity Kane's second single for the sophomore release will be "Bad Girl". I think its a great choice for the ladies and will give them a chance to release a single with another high-profile artist like Missy Elliott. I'm excited to see what the concept will be. Also, "Damaged", the first single from "Welcome to the Dollhouse" is steadily rising up the charts. For more information click here.
D. Woods spoke with Rap-Up.com about the reported fight between the group over the weekend.
“[It was] nothing at all. People read way too far into s***. If there is a big a** couch in our section, why would we sit on top of each other?” D. Woods exclusively tells Rap-Up.com, explaining why the girls were not pictured together at the after-party.
She doesn't come out and say that there was no fight, just that it was nothing. Whatever it was, fight or not, I wouldn't be too concerned.

AllHipHop.com has an interview with Danity Kane. They are have some video from the interview, which is included below.
AHHA: Was the experience of being in the same house as Donnie and Day 26 and recording at the same time a bit hectic for you all?
DK-Aundrea: I think in the beginning we were just a little concerned, because we didn’t really know what their work ethic was like. And we didn’t really know them at all. And we knew what WE wanted to do. We knew that we wanted to come in focused.
I think we were all pleasantly surprised. They are all very very nice and very talented young men, and I think we learned a lot from them. I also think they learned a lot from us. I also think they motivated us and pushed us even more.

Yung Joc is featured on a new single from Kieran called "My Way". The song also features Shawty Lo.
From the Las Vegas Review-Journal:
It wasn't all sweetness and light Friday for Diddy's girl group Danity Kane. Two members of the pop group got physical backstage at the Palms before their concert at The Pearl last night. The tension was still evident when the group arrived at Privé Las Vegas (Planet Hollywood Resort) for their after-party. Dawn Richards, Aundrea Fimbres and Shannon Bex stayed on one side of the VIP Booth while Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods sat on the other posing for pictures with fans.

We've added "In My Bed (DJ Version)" by Day26 featuring Diddy to our audio player, along with the album version of "In My Bed", as well as the new single, "Since You've Been Gone". The "DJ Version" adds an intro from Diddy.
Check out the great remix by Jermaine Dupri to O'Neal McKnight's "Check Your Coat" which features a verse from Diddy, as well as some ad libs.
Before cutting in, Diddy says, "I'm the great one ... call me Puff Daddy ... he's back." And then, toward the end of the track, "Yeah, you heard me right, too. I said Puff Daddy. Yeah, I'm about to get back on that Puff Daddy s***. I've been going easy on y'all ..."
I'm really into this track, especially Diddy's verse. Nice collaboration. How should we take the Puff Daddy stuff? Is he saying that his next album is going to return to the Puff Daddy formula, ala the sound of "No Way Out" and "Forever" versus the sound of "Press Play"? I've e-mailed someone at Bad Boy to try to get some perspective on this.

"Today is one of the greatest and proudest moments of my life," Diddy said Wednesday (June 4) of Obama's nomination. "Not just as a black man, but as an American. Senator Obama becoming the Democratic nominee for president is history in the making and proof that we do live in the greatest country in the world!"

The Los Angeles Times reports on a soon to be released film, "The Wackness," based around a hip hop fan from the mid-90s. In the article, they highlight a widget released by the people behind the film that features "Party & Bull****" by The Notorious B.I.G.
Back in March, The Playlist reported that "The What" by Biggie featuring Method Man, "Can't You See" by Total featuring Biggie, "You Used to Love Me" by Faith Evans and "Flava In Ya Ear" by Craig Mack, were slated to be on the soundtrack to the film.
The L.A. Times article also features an interview with director Jonathan Levine.
You're dealing with some prime catalog, such as Notorious B.I.G.'s "The What." Was it tough to secure these tracks?
We reached out to the Biggie estate early and were able to clear it. But my editor was the one who put A Tribe Called Quest in the movie, and I said you guys are all nuts. I didn’t think I could get a Tribe Called Quest song with a Lou Reed sample, but we were.
It was crazy. But I think the great thing about it is that not a lot of people are using this type of music. Hopefully, this will be the first of many movies that license early ‘90s hip-hop. I don’t think there was much demand for it, and people were just happy to contribute their songs to a movie. Also, we got [Sony BMG] behind us, and they were able to hook us up.
He also gave an interview to FirstShowing.net back in January where he, again, mentioned Biggie.
Can you talk about the music choices as well, because I think that's another really key thing that defines the movie. There are so many great elements to it, but the music as well…
Levine: The music for me, that's what I grew up with, and most of it was even written in the script and we brought a music supervisor on really early. Biggie was such an important part of the script that we got in touch with the Wallace estate and we were able to get that Biggie stuff in there and they were very gracious to us. It was just, that was really important to having that soundtrack and luckily we got all the stuff we wanted. It wasn't easy because a lot of them have samples that are difficult to clear, or also the fact that that very few movies have used that type of music meant that a lot of the artists and the labels were really excited about the opportunity to put it in a movie. You don't see Nas or Wu-Tang or all that stuff in a movie very often, especially not their old stuff.

UGO.com has an interview with Sean C & LV. They talk about how they got in with Diddy and they clarified The Hitmen relationship a bit.
UGO.com: So are you guys officially in the Hitmen?
LV: When we work with Puff, we work under the Hitmen. And then we do stuff on our own, outside of that situation as well. Like, we did the Jay-Z record with Puff, and [that was] Grind Music/Hitmen. When we did Ghostface, that was just Grind Music.
Fabolous is now featured on the Ryan Leslie track, "Addiction", which also features Cassie.
From the press release:
"When it comes down to it, I'm a family man. My family inspires me to do what I do. Fatherhood has taught me more than I can put into words -- I want to be the best example to my sons -- as a career man, and as a father. I'd count my family as my top achievement."

Despite reports (from gossip sites...) to the contrary, Diddy told the Daily News that he and Cameron Diaz are not dating.
Diddy said he and Diaz did not go into a private room at the Sub-Mercer, adding, "It is ridiculous that two celebrities of the opposite sex can't just hang out with a group of friends without it being reported as more than that. We are just friends.”
TMZ.com reports that Diddy's attorneys are threatening Cuff-Daddy, a company that sells cufflinks. Eh... not sure that's really a great idea. Was their name almost certainly inspired by Puff Daddy? Sure. I'm a little familar with these sorts of matters and there is always the thought that they have to defend their trademark of they lose it.
But, too often, attorneys simply fire off nasty letters without regard for common sense, or even proper approach. I'd be somewhat surprised if Diddy knew of it.
The Press-Enterprise has an interview with Aubrey O'Day.
The tour is being documented for the latest season of "Making the Band," set to begin airing in August. O'Day said she's gotten used to the cameras and doing things like coming into a room twice so the crew can get an exterior and an interior shot of her entrance.
"Now I'm almost annoyed by them," she said. "We can't make a move without approval ... it's very demanding of your personal time."
Rap-Up.com has an interview with Donnie Klang.
When we saw you meet and work with the producer Seven last season, you had this look on your face; we could tell how excited you were. Do you ever feel like you’ll get to the point where you can be a mentor and have that affect on someone?
Just learning from Seven, you can see the difference with his music now and when he was at Murder Inc. with Ashanti and Ja Rule. You hear how he grew and he evolved. Now he’s this dope producer with a fresh sound. He’s always going to be one step ahead of the game. That’s the point I want to get to, whether it’s as a producer, a performer, a writer… I want to get to the point where I’m a step ahead of everyone and I create the sound.
