On Sunday, Janelle Monae made her debut GRAMMY performance, participating in a joint set with B.o.B and Bruno Mars at the 53rd annual GRAMMY Awards.

She provided backing vocals for B.o.B's "Nothing on You" before disappearing, only to pop up from beneath the stage to perform "Cold War," with Mars on drums and B.o.B with a guitar in hand. Watch below, care of Monae's MySpace.

Cee-Lo Green has released the visual for his track "Bodies," directed by Mikael Columbu. It features a heavy cameo from Janelle Monae, as well as appearances by Kerry Washington and Karl Lagerfield.

Interestingly, at the end of the video, "to be continued" is displayed, following by a main locked in some sort of room. A snippet of Monae's "Locked Inside" plays.

Janelle Monae may not have picked up any hardware last night, but she did jump on stage for a join performance with Bruno Mars and B.o.B.

According to the Calgary Herald, Monae sung "Cold War" with Mars on drums while she provided backing vocals when B.o.B performed "Nothing on You.

The 53rd GRAMMY Awards were tonight and, unfortunately, Janelle Monae did not win in either of the two categories she was nominated in.

In the Best Urban/Alternative Performance, Cee-Lo Green took hom the award for "F*** You." Monae was nominated along with Big Boi for "Tightrope."

In the Best Contemporary R&B Album, it was Usher with "Raymond v. Raymond," ahead of Monae's "The ArchAndroid."

Karl Lagerfeld Calls Janelle Monae a "New Revelation

Janelle Monae met fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld in December and he had plenty of nice things to say about the singer.

According to her MySpace, this continued during a television interview where he referred to her as a "new revelation' - "anointed of Prince" and "heiress of James Brown."

Janelle Monae Delivers Symphonic Version of "BabopByeYa" with Emory Symphony Orchestra

In October, Janelle Monae performed with the Emory Symphony Orchestra at the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts in Atlanta. She did a special symphonic rendition of "BabopByeYa." Metromix Atlanta has pictures.

On Wednesday, Janelle Monae was honored by ESSENCE and Diddy at the magazine's annual "Black Women in Music" event before the GRAMMYs. Prince, Big Boi, Mary Mary, Leona Lewis and others were also on hand.

ESSENCE has a five question interview with her, where she reflects on what the honor means to her, as well as the support that she has received from Diddy and Prince.

"He's a very nice guy and supportive of my ideas and my label, The Wonderland Arts Society," she said of the Bad Boy CEO. "He's very funny and is really inspired by what it is that we are doing. It means a lot to me because he is also a person that I have looked up to. I admire the longevity that he has and all the many businesses that he has and still oversees. Whenever I need advice, he's just there. And him just being there is enough."

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Diddy, who talked about his state of mind when he gave Monae the stamp of approval.

During last month's Sundance Film Festival, Janelle Monae appeared and performed at the Bing Bar, sponsored by the Microsoft search engine. In the assorted clips below, you can see an interview (first clip) and some performance footage.

Janelle Monae Appears on Stage During Mark Ronson Set at Le Défilé Etam Lingerie Fashion Show

In January, Mark Ronson was at the helm for a live set during the Le Défilé Etam Lingerie fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.
