04/16: Billboard: Diddy and James Cruz to Manage Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj
Billboard's Mariel Concepcion reports that, according to a source close to Diddy, he has agreed to manage both Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj, along with one of his own managers, James Cruz.
The article mentions that representatives at Interscope, Def Jam and Universal Motown - the main distributing labels of Diddy, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj, respectively - all could not be reached for comment. Meanwhile, Cruz had no comment to
XXL.
Interestingly, the Concepcion notes that Ross made reference to a "big announcement" that he and Diddy would be making soon, during a radio on Power 105.1 earlier this week. She also mentions a "rumor" that Ross is "extensively contributing to the writing" on "Last Train to Paris."
At press time, nothing about this story had been mentioned on the Twitter profiles of Diddy, Minaj or Cruz. I've reached out to Diddy's publicist for comment.
