Diddy revealed on Twitter today that he and Aaliyah recorded a song in Trinidad that has not been released. "I wish I could find those tapes now," he wrote. "Damn."

Interestingly, when I interviewed engineer Axel Niehaus for my piece on the making of Diddy's "No Way Out" album, he mentioned that Aaliyah was down in Trinidad for 3 days while Diddy and a slew of producers, artists and engineers worked to record material that would later be released on "No Way Out" and other albums.

Wednesday marks 9 years since the untimely passing of the singer.
