As you may know, today is April Fools Day and, as has become tradition around here, I participated by announcing that Bad Boy would change it's name to Good Boy. Ha.

Our logo was changed to the one embedded below and I did really register the domain name goodboyblog.com and it does really redirect to this website.

I hope that everyone had a fun day. Thank you for visiting Bad Boy Blog.

Last month, Examiner.com's San Francisco section posted an interview with i SQUARE. They talk about the formation of the group, the meaning of their name and more.

On Twitter, both Diddy and DJ Eric D-Lux mentioned that they were in the studio, working on something "epic" for the "Coming Home Tour" (buy tickets).

Music producer, and former member of Bad Boy's Hitmen, Jeffrey "J. Dub" Walker has posted some unreleased mixes from Dirty Money's "Last Train to Paris" on his Music180 profile.

They include "Coming Home," "Shades," "Yeah Yeah You Would" and "A** on the Floor." When contrasting them with the cuts that made the album, you can note the subtle differences.

On Twitter, Walker called them the original versions of the songs. In the album credits, Walker is credited with providing additional keyboards to three of the four songs.

Update: This post was an April Fools Joke. I hope that everyone had a fun day!

According to multiple sources at Bad Boy Entertainment and Atlantic Records, Bad Boy Records will soon be changing it's name to Good Boy Records, following disputes between the two companies over ownership of the name.

Back in September of 2009, when Diddy announced his move from Atlantic to Interscope Records, Diddy revealed that Lyor Cohen had allowed him to keep "his name," Bad Boy. Cohen is the Vice Chairman and Chairman and CEO, Recorded Music - Americas and the U.K. for Warner Music Group, Atlantic's parent company.

However, according to one Atlantic source, the use of the name was only intended to extend to Diddy's releases - such as "Last Train to Paris" - and not to artists Diddy would sign to Interscope moving forward. But, with i SQUARE and Cassie both releasing music under "Bad Boy/Interscope," both parties have been actively discussing the point of confusion.

Bad Boy has resolved itself to a name change and that name, says a Bad Boy representative, will be Good Boy Records, playing off of the opposite of Bad Boy. It is unclear who will release the first album under the Good Boy/Interscope banner, but it likely will be i SQUARE, Cassie, Red Cafe or Jeremy Greene.

In line with this, we have changed our logo above and have secured the domain name goodboyblog.com, which we have already begun redirecting to our current content. We will begin to fully transition to this name shortly.

Back in September, we learned that Biggie's son, Christopher Jordan Wallace, would be featured in a new Will Ferrell movie, "Everything Must Go."

The movie now has a website and will be in theaters on May 13. They have also released a trailer, which you can watch below and download from Apple's website.

According to Jeremy Greene's Twitter profile and Facebook page, today he released a new album titled "Speakers Fly Me to the Moon."

The store it was released at, Bull Moose, has a small cover image, but not much else. There is no track listing provided and there does not appear to be a way to purchase the album from the website, even though Greene only posted a link to it within the last half hour.

According to a promo video posted on his Facebook page, the album will feature Pitbull, Sean Kingston and Jim Jones. All three artists have appeared on previously released songs by Greene. Pitbull on his 2008 single "Rain," Kingston on "Who I Am" from his "All is Fair in Love and Music" mixtape and Jones on the recently released "Take it Off."

This is not his official Bad Boy debut album, which is why I've referred to it here as a street album. Hopefully, we'll have more details soon.
