In an interview with What's Trending, Megan Nicole touched briefly on a number of topics: signing with Bad Boy, Diddy, what her upcoming debut album will be like, the prospects of a U.S. tour this fall and more. Watch below.
Today, she released a video announcing the move herself. Interspersed with footage of her performing covers and her original "B-e-a-utiful," the clip features Nicole talking alongside Diddy, Havre Pierre and her manager, Johnny Wright.
Some long term Bad Boy fans may remember Wright from his appearances on the "Making the Band" series and his management of Danity Kane. He has also managed Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, 'NSync and the Jonas Brothers among many other acts.
In June, Diddy tweeted that singer Megan Nicole was now part of the Bad Boy family. Today, it was officially announced via press release that the singer had signed to Bad Boy Records.
"Megan Nicole is a complete package that I am extremely excited to add to the Bad Boy roster," Diddy says in the release. "She is a talented singer, songwriter, musician, and entertainer. Megan Nicole is a perfect fit for the new future at Bad Boy."
"Megan is a great person, amazing artist, and an enormous talent all around," said Bad Boy President Harve Pierre. "She has done an incredible job on building a solid fan base and we are here to enhance that and ensure her dreams come true. Welcome home, Megan Nicole."
