From TeenMusic.com:

The rap star reportedly demanded a private trailer and two bottles of Cristal champagne just so he could watch proceedings on his new signing Cheri Dennis' upcoming video.

TeenMusic.com is the only site reporting this, so I'm not sure what that might mean, but nonetheless. It says the production company was on a budget of $100,000 and with Diddy not being in the video (according to the source), they didn't want to pay it. Who knows.

Diddy Opens New York Stock Exchange To Celebrate 'Unforgiveable' Success:

"When we set out to create this fragrance, I wanted to revolutionize this industry," Combs told AllHipHop.com. "Mission accomplished."

Pictures at Yahoo! News, like this, this and this.

Edit: Actually, he missed the open because of traffic.

As an April Fools joke, SOHH reported that Diddy "broke out" and sued Proactiv, as a result.

"Proactive promises a risk fee, money-back trial," says Diddy. "After all I've been through, I want my money back and more."

Just heard a clip from Hot 97 with 50 Cent. It was Miss Jones in the morning with Envy and they were interviewing him. Not sure when it was, but I'm guessing it was from today. He mentioned that he hasn't signed Carl Thomas and that he's still working with Puffy on the Mase deal. But, the interesting part was him coming out to basically slam Diddy for the deals he gave his earliest artists. Here it is (word for word as best as I can):

So, I was just reading this article on MSNBC by Helen A.S. Popkin.

Before I get started, let me say that although I am a huge fan of Diddy, I am also a fan of Kanye West's music. I own both of his albums and his video anthology. And for all intensive purposes and from everything I have read, Diddy and Kanye are fans of each other (Kanye is working/has worked on Diddy's upcoming album).

Opinions ("Considering Diddy’s multimillion-dollar Sean John line, which won Diddy Menswear Designer of the Year several years in a row, West’s unique take on fashion will no doubt garner similar success." - yeah, success is a given and Diddy just lucks into it all. Forget hard work.) aside, this article makes it pretty clear that the author is really just out to get Diddy here. There is, of course, the obligatory, nonsensical name jokes (he's been Diddy for more than a decade, folks...), but there is more than that. There is a disregard for fact and what appears to have been a lack of research. I'll highlight some of the more blatant ones (there are smaller things here and there, like the fact that Diddy didn't sell Bad Boy to Warner).

Diddy will perform at the Essence Music Festival:

Other performers announced Monday include Diddy, who will host a "Diddy and Friends" show, and singers Jaheim and Chris Brown.

Who will the friends be? We'll have to see.

Mr. Bentley was asked that very question:

So why isn’t the album on Bad Boy?

"Kanye heard what I was doing, and really liked it," Bentley said. "I told Diddy and he was like, 'You should go there. They’ll take good care of you.’ Everyone thinks he’s a control freak, but he’s not. That shows it. And we’re like family."

Tiesha (from a Google search, I'm guessing her last name is LeShore), Diddy's former personal assistant, has quit that job in hopes of making it as a singer/songwriter. She has a blog at NS4LIFE. Her first entry contains an endorsement with Diddy, who calls her a "star in the making."

I wanted to get in touch to ask a few questions, but I couldn't find a contact (my e-mail is patrick@ifroggy.com). Not sure if she is a NextSelection artist or what not, but I imagine more details will come out over time. In any case, good luck to her.
