Update (9/2/09): Listen to the tracks now!
According to Bad Boy A&R Daniel "Skid" Mitchell, the new Diddy/Dirty Money singles "Angels" and "Love Come Down" premiered on Hot 97 last night during Funkmaster Flex's show. I was too late to catch them, but if you happened to do so, please tell us about them in the comments. It'll only be a matter of time being they are released where we can all listen to them.
On Diddy's Twitter, he mentioned that he will be "launching" two singles from "Last Train to Paris" during Labor Day weekend (September 5-7). Previously, he announced that "Love Come Down," a new "mix show/club single" would be sent to DJs on September 2.
In an interview with MTV News, T-Pain talked a little bit about Diddy/Dirty Money's upcoming "Last Train to Paris" album, revealing that he's written 12 songs for it. This includes "Let's Play a Game," which uses old board games as metaphors for a relationship. According to the singer, he's mainly contributing ideas and concepts.
Interestingly, in the clip below, he says that Diddy told him he was putting together a group of two guys (Diddy and one other) and two girls for the album. It's unclear if Pain is mistaken or heard incorrectly, but take it for what it is.
Finally, Steven Roberts, who wrote the article, says that T-Pain feels that Diddy's past experience of singing hooks will be of use Diddy on this singing driven album. "Auto-Tune will help that out a little bit, but I just told him to put some more into it," he said to Roberts. "But he's pretty good [at singing] actually, which is weird."
Shinan Govani of the National Post reports:
As far as initiations go, hanging out with Diddy in Toronto the other night must have been right up there for Drake, Canada's (and hip hop's) Next Big Thing. There they were at Sotto Sotto. There, again, at Century Room. There, too, in the recording studio above Tattoo Rock Parlour, on Queen, where the Gatsbyish Diddy was said to be recording with the Toronto singer...
On a recent episode of The Late Show with David Letterman, Britney Spears appeared to count down the "top 10 ways the country would be different if Britney Spears were President." Number 2? "Three words: Vice President Diddy." Check out the clip below.

Update (9/2/09): Listen to the track now!
A message on Diddy's Twitter revealed that the first "club and mix show single" for Dirty Money will be sent to clubs and DJs on September 2. It's called "Love Come Down."
Back in July, we reported on TechCrunch's publishing of leaked notes from internal Twitter strategy meetings that mentioned Diddy in both a favorable and unfavorable light (generally, it was more of the latter).
Kim-Mai Cutler at VentureBeat spoke with Twitter co-founder Biz Stone about the leak and their efforts to control the damage.
He said that Twitter reached out to everyone who was mentioned in the notes to make them aware of the situation and "to tell them that these notes didn’t reflect anything."
He also talked about their meeting with Diddy. "When we came away from that meeting with P. Diddy, we were super impressed with how savvy he was," Stone told Cutler. "He has stayed relevant for so long and how does he do it? He’s constantly reinventing himself."
Karen Bliss of Rolling Stone and Marc Malkin of E! Online have new TV and movie focused interviews with Diddy.
Diddy spoke to Reuters, briefly, about "P. Diddy's StarMaker" and "Making His Band," discussing how artists need to be able to brand themselves, in this day and age.
Presented by Felix Da Housecat and Diddy, the "Lectro Black (Last Train to Paris Mixtape)" has been released for free download on RCRDLBL (you can also listen to it below, as well). It comes as one long (59 minutes, 29 seconds) .mp3 file.
