I'm late to the party on this, but yesterday Willie Taylor of Day26 tweeted a link to an article on I'm Not Jaded, reporting that Taylor's wife, Niyana, had given birth to a baby girl named Layla Marie on July 14. Congratulations to the Taylor family.
Singer Bertell has put his own spin on Trey Songz's "Bottoms Up" featuring Willie Taylor and Brian Angel of Day26. In the video's description on YouTube, a free download link is provided.
A full version of Day26's "Guardian Angel" has appeared online, purported to be produced by Bryan-Michael Cox. Not much else is known about the record, at this time.
Check out the clip below to see Day26 working in the studio with music producer Bryan-Michael Cox. A small snippet of a track is played. Cox and the group have collaborated numerous times on their first two albums. He produced "Are We In This Together," "Since You've Been Gone," "Don't Fight the Feeling" and "Just Should've Told You" from their debut album. On their second album, "Forever in a Day," he produced "Stadium Music" and "Babymaker" and co-produced "Need That."
Interestingly, the video title is "A New Day" Coming Soon!" and Brian refers to "A New Day." It's possible that this is the title for the third album, but that is unconfirmed at this point.
An old Day26 track called "Try Again" has appeared online. It features Ryan Leslie and it's easy to tell that it is an older track because Que has vocals featured on it.
Do you think you’ll eventually make a move to a solo career?
Most definitely—maybe five or six albums in. Who knows? I’m not going to retire. Who says the rest of the members don’t want to do a couple solo albums & then reel it back in? It depends on what we’re doing. I’d love to do something under my own imprint, that’d be great.
