Skylar Grey, who was featured on Dirty Money's hit single "Coming Home," has released a solo version of the song on her "The Buried Sessions" EP. It has premiered on MySpace. Her Twitter account dubs the song "Coming Home Pt. II."
Rapper Future has released his "Astronaut Status" mixtape (free download), which features "Jordan/Diddy," where he praises and compares himself to basketball legend Michael Jordan and Diddy. Watch a trailer for the song and listen in full to the song, and the interlude that precedes it, below.
In a great interview with DJ Whoo Kid, Diddy talks about what he labels the "propaganda" against Bad Boy, his relationships with Jay-Z, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, plans to write a pair of books and more.
On the book front, he mentioned that he is working on both an autobiography and a business book, the latter of which he hopes to release in a couple of years.
Diddy's son, Justin Combs, has made the decision to attend UCLA, accepting a full scholarship to play football at the Division I school. He will major in Business Finance.
According to the press release, he received offers from Wyoming, Virginia, Illinois and more.
"Today I am truly blessed and thankful to accept my scholarship and give my full commitment to UCLA," the younger Combs said. "Playing Division I football was a life long dream of mine and through hard work I was able to achieve it. I am a living testament that with a strong relationship with God, family, and hard work dreams do come true."
"As a parent, today is one of the proudest moments of my life," Diddy added. "This is everything a father could want for his son, for him to excel at what he loves to do and is truly passionate about. Justin is a shining example of what hard work, determination and a strong mentality can achieve. I am honored to call him my son and am happy that he is fulfilling his dream."
Mary J. Blige released the sequel to 1994's "My Life," which is considered by many to be a classic R&B album. That release featured heavy production from Diddy, who teamed mostly with Carl "Chucky" Thompson to provide nearly all of the album.
Unfortunately, the sequel does not contain any production from Diddy, though some versions of the album include Someone to Love Me (Naked)", which features the Bad Boy CEO, as a bonus track.
But, Diddy's voice is heard on the album thanks to the intro, a telephone conversation - just like the opener to the original "My Life."
Diddy says that if she wants to follow up a classic, she must "come with it." Blige then explains that the album represents an evolution and isn't a competitor to her second album.
On Twitter, Rick Ross posted a link to viewhiphop.com, where you can download "Shot Caller (Remix)" by French Montana featuring Diddy and Ross.
This version of the clip includes tags from Funkmaster Flex, who premiered the record last night, so stay tuned for an untagged version.
One small note for Bad Boy fans: the remix includes of portions of the instrumental from Diddy's "It's All About the Benjamins (Remix)." Wanna be ballers, shot callers, brawlers?
