Gorilla Zoe just performed "Hood Figga (Remix)" at the BET Hip Hop Awards 2007 preshow. Zoe had a solid performance, but Joc really phoned it in, which is a shame because I like his verse on the remix. He missed maybe half of his verse, allowing the backing track to play through. Even Zoe appeared a little surprised as he nudged Joc part way through the performance. Overall, it wasn't a bad performance, but it would have been a great performance if Joc would have killed it.

HipHopDX.com has an interview with Gorilla Zoe. I thought this answer was funny because of how people make things out of nothing.

DX: You have a street record that is a diss toward the Shop Boyz (called Block Star with Yung Joc, Block and Big Gee)?
GZ: That's not a diss towards the Shop Boyz. We just hopped on the track.

AllHipHop.com has a "studio exclusive" with Gorilla Zoe. It's a video interview from Daddy's House in New York. He talks about the album and talks about 3 tracks in particular, rapping to parts of them. They are "Count On Me", "Last Time I Checked" and "Tryna Make A Jug". He then goes into the studio and does a verse and hook in there.

In the earlier part of the video, there are a couple of pieces of memorabilia shown. A plaque for "In the Beginning... There Was Rap", a compilation album that featured the Diddy track "Big Ole Butt" featuring Lil' Cease. There is a large autographed photo of Faith Evans ("You'll Always Have... Faith"). Give me a camera and an hour in Daddy's House and I'll come back with some good photos. Finally, there is a photo from the "No Way Out" cover shoot by Michael Benabib, who I interviewed in our "No Way Out" retrospective.

As an aside, if some of his album, at least, have been made at Daddy's House, I probably would have liked it more. It's not the studio, necessarily, but it just would have meant that he was probably working with different people. Not a fan of "Welcome to the Zoo", unfortunately.

The album insert for "Welcome to the Zoo" is similar to the "Don't Talk, Just Listen" and "Hustlenomics" as it has the same Sean John Eyewear advertisement. On the other side, it mentions "Press Play", "Hustlenomics" and "Don't Talk, Just Listen" as in stores now and "Back Up N Da Chevy" and "Let's Get Physical" as coming soon.

"Also coming soon", it lists Mario Winans, We Invented the Remix II, Cassie, Jordan MCCoy, Cheri Dennis and Danity Kane - no titles or dates are provided.
