06/11: Diddy: "I Love Lil' Kim. I'm Sorry That She's Mad"
If you haven't heard, Lil' Kim has been going pretty hard at Nicki Minaj and Diddy is getting drawn into that because of him
working with her,
praising her and
reportedly entering into some form of a management relationship with her.
To hear Kim's general perspective on the manner, check out the
interview she did with ThisIs50.
Update: Here's
part 2.
During the Dirty Money appearance on
Tim Westwood's show, Westwood asked Diddy about this situation.
"I love Lil' Kim," he said. "I'm sorry that she's mad. I never would have thought that me working with another artist, she's taking it the wrong way."
Later, Diddy said that Nicki Minaj was not trying to "swagger jack" Kim.
"Kim needs to understand that, Diddy continued. "Nicki as a whole has always been respectful. So, we're riding with Nicki and we're still riding with Kim."
In addition to Diddy's support, Minaj has also received kind words from
Lil' Cease and a photo of D-Roc and Minaj together was
posted online, as well. Back in the day, D-Roc, Kim and Cease were all in Junior M.A.F.I.A. together.
But,
Diddy came out in January of 2009, supportive of Lil' Kim when she was being critical of the film "Notorious" and they said that she had "every right to feel that way." She was at
the 16th birthday party of Diddy's son, Justin, in February.
So, it's really unclear how serious all of this even is. Don't be shocked to see Diddy play peacemaker on this one and for Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj to appear together on a Dirty Money remix in the future. You never know.
