MTV News' Shaheem Reid has a report on the release of some footage from the party at the Petersen Automotive Museum on March 9, 1997. It would be Biggie's last party.

The footage was posted on YouTube in December, but it seems like it's just getting picked up now. Check it out:

From MTV News' Shaheem Reid:

"Notorious" earned $21 million in its first weekend at the box office. Fox Searchlight will release the DVD on April 21. In addition to an unrated version of the film, special features include commentary from Big's managers, mother Voletta Wallace and the filmmakers. There are also extras on Big's lyrics, the "Biggie Boot Camp" that the actors in the movie had to go through to prepare for their parts and extended concert-scene footage.

In honor of B.I.G.'s passing 12 years ago, there were a couple of Biggie related features that I wanted to highlight.

VIBE.com has the top 12 Biggie featured tracks released after "Life After Death."

Meanwhile, AllHipHop.com's Sha Stimuli names the top 10 reasons that Biggie was the greatest rapper of all-time.

In an interview with RapRadar.com, Lil' Kim discussed her disappointment with "Notorious."

Switching gears, you’ve been publicly unsupportive of Notorious. If Biggie were alive, do you think he would’ve been pleased with the film?
I’m a very spiritual person and he’s come to me many of times in my dreams. But, I don’t think he’s happy at all, at all! Because Ms. Wallace doesn’t know Biggie at all and she barley knows Christopher, if you know what I mean. At all! And I was around. Even before he blew up so crazy, so I know how he felt about his mom. And Biggie was so much more than what they put him out to be in that movie. And to be honest with you, I know for a fact he’s not happy. He’s not satisfied at all. At all. And regardless of the fact, everybody who is involved in this movie, he has love for. Everybody. But at the end of the day, he knows who’s who and what’s what. Believe that. And let me tell you something, the way he’s feeling is going to come out. Like, trust me. Everything is going to come out later. You’re going to see who he really loved and the ones that’s standing up for him the right way is the ones representing him the right way.

12 years ago, Christopher Wallace a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G. passed away. If you were, or are, a fan - take a moment of silence today and then play some Biggie. Rest in peace.

It's been a while since we posted any videos from the "Remembering Biggie" video series on YouTube. A bunch of videos were posted yesterday, so I thought that we'd get all caught up.

I'd recommend checking out the Love Bug Starski and DJ Hard Hitting Harry ones, especially. The L.A. White video has an editing error in that they had him do his part twice and didn't remove the first take.

Previously, Lil' Cease had released "Talk Go Through Us, a track featuring Fabolous that sampled Biggie for the chorus.

An extended version has been released with a short intro from Lil' Cease and D-Roc and a third verse from Busta Rhymes.

The Daily Mirror has an interesting interview with Biggie's mom, Voletta Wallace.

"He said, 'Mumma, this great, magnificent man is going to make me a millionaire. I'm going to rap.

"He's going to turn my life around for ever - and his name is Puffy.

"I looked at him and said, 'What kind of a name is that? Have you lost your senses? That's just ridiculous. He'd better be good... and he was."

Fans across the world treasure Notorious B.I.G.'s iconic songs, but his mum admits she still prefers country singer Dolly Parton.
