The new Love Cassie site has launched. Though there are some splashes of Adobe Flash powered elements, the site is powered by the popular blog platform WordPress. It has potential - now, we'll have to see what they do with it.
Check out the video below for studio footage from a mixing session with Cassie and Diddy working on a track Cassie track called "Must Be Love." It features Diddy, though the video says that it is "featuring Puff Daddy." Sounds great, though. I look forward to the finished cut. Diddy says it'll be on iTunes in a couple of weeks.
On her MySpace blog, Cassie confirmed that she was on Twitter as cassieventura.
In an interview with Vlad TV, Ryan Leslie talked about his relationship with Cassie and his feelings about her and Diddy. He doesn't really go into any specifics, but you can tell that he definitely feels a certain way and things aren't great between them right now. Otherwise, he would have said that.
"I'm a Lover," a new track from Cassie, is now in our audio player. Please let me know what you think about it, in the comments.
Update: In the comments, Laurel pointed out that the track playing as "I'm a Lover," was "Me & U." My apologies for this. It has now been corrected. Thanks, Laurel.
Cassie's latest, "Summer Charm", can be heard in our audio player.
Previously release and then taken down, the third video in the "Cassie's Questions & Answers" series has been posted again.
HipHopDX has an interview with Cassie.
DX: When folks were saying you got dropped from Bad Boy, what was your initial conversation with Puff like? Did it ever get to that point?
Cassie: Um, I actually had only heard stuff like "Oh, she needs to be dropped!" I had never actually heard that I was dropped because I think I would have known before any one else. I know there were petitions that people put signatures on and shit like that. That was the only thing I heard. I never actually heard about being dropped. But, there were rumors that I was leaving. Crazy stuff.
Someone needs to tell Cassie that blogging is a medium, but a style. "Blog" doesn't equal gossipy trash unless the person writing the blog wants gossipy trash. There are plenty of blogs that practice responsibility and restraint. Like this one.
