10 years ago Sunday, Shyne's self-titled debut album was released. To mark the occasion, XXL talked with Harve Pierre, Mario Winans, EZ Elpee, Nashiem Myrick and (mostly) Shyne about the making of all of the tracks included on the set. For the most part, Shyne talks about how he was in control and what his mind state was at the time.

But, there are a couple of interesting details. Shyne says that he wanted Usher, not Barrington Levy, to sing on "Bonnie & Shyne." Harve Pierre says that Usher was a thought, but that there were other thoughts, as well. EZ Elpee says that he originally made the "Bad Boyz" beat for Lil' Kim. Finally, Shyne says that if he re-released the album, he'd take "Get Out" off of it, due to (in his words) the song's misogynist lyrics.
