06/25: Jordin Sparks: Diddy Should Replace Simon Cowell on "American Idol"
It's just one person's opinion, but
former "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks told Hollywood Life that Diddy should replace the departing Simon Cowell on "American Idol."
“As far as personality goes, he says what’s on his mind. Simon didn’t want to hurt people’s feelings – it just came off that way,” Idol’s season six winner told HollywoodLife.com exclusively during a phone call June 22. “He’s the best fit! He was great on Making the Band, he’s a producer and he’s been in the industry for a long time. I think he’d probably be the best fit.”
She did say that he'd need to swear less, however, or they'd have to bleep him out "all the time."
In May,
Diddy expressed his interest in the post and just last week said that
he'd be willing to take a 5% pay cut from what Cowell now receives.

Sounds like he is the frontrunner. I didn't really take the story seriously when he was first mentioned as a possibility for the gig.
