03/26: Danity Kane has the #1 Album in the Country
According to
Billboard.com, Danity Kane's sophomore release "Welcome to the Dollhouse" is the #1 Album in the country. This is the second #1 album in as many records for the ladies. This album, according to Nielsen SoundScan has sold 236,000 copies in the first week of release.
Congratulations the the girls of Danity Kane. Beating the first week sales of their self-titled debut in 2006, which sold 234,000 copies. Also, "Welcome to the Dollhouse" celebrates the second biggest sales week of the year, second to Jack Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static". This is a very impressive feat, being that album sales have been tough to come by for major artists.
