Check out the clip below for an entertaining Grind Music Radio interview with former Bad Boy/The Hitmen producer Nashiem Myrick. He talks about the creation of "Who Shot Ya," a track he produced, and more. He mentions how, originally, Biggie had included something like "I leave you leaking like Michael Jordan's pops" at the end of his original verse, referring to the untimely death of the basketball star's father.
Thanks Theo for the tip.
In it's third weekend in theaters, "Get Him to the Greek" was the 4th highest grossing movie in the country, reports MTV's Josh Wigler. "Toy Story 3," "The Karate Kid" and "The A-Team" finished higher. "Greek" grossed $6.1 million.
This follows it's second week, where it was also 4th, with a gross of $9,942,405. At that point, after two weeks, the film had an overall gross of $36,400,720. When the final numbers are released for the third week, the film will have surpassed it's $40 million dollar budget.
"Hello Good Morning" by Diddy/Dirty Money is now up for sale on iTunes in the U.K., as is the "Team UK" or "Tinie and Tinchy Remix" featuring Tinie Tempah and Tinchy Stryder.
When you look at the store listing, you can see an alternate cover for the single, different from the one released in March.
Check out the video below for Diddy announcing the official launch of DiddyBlog.com, on June 21 at 7 AM (presumably Eastern Time). He first announced the site was coming in early May. The DiddyBlog.com homepage now features a clip of Muhammad Ali and a clock counting down to the launch.
Toward the end of the clip, Mr. Combs asks for feedback, so I thought I'd share my five suggestions for DiddyBlog.com, originally published on May 10.
Back in May, Diddy expressed interest in replacing Simon Cowell on FOX's "American Idol." He said that, to take the role, he'd want to receive the same pay that Cowell was earning.
He's now willing to compromise a bit. According to Musicrooms.net, Diddy told Britain's GMTV that he'd be willing to take a 5% pay cut. He says Cowell was "on something like $34 million." If that figure is accurate, a 5% pay cut would bring it down to $32.3 million.
According to the Diddy/Dirty Money website, Dirty Money will be featured on Channel4's "T4" on Sunday. Part 1 of their interview airs at 1:30 PM, while part 2 airs at 3 PM.
And if you're in the U.K., you can apparently see a preview on the "T4" website. I'm in the U.S., so I can't.
Back in mid-April, we reported that DJ Chuckie was working on a remix to Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning." That remix has now seen the light of day.
You can listen to it on DJ Chuckie's SoundCloud page. According to Diddy on Twitter, it's supposed to be available as a free download, but at press time, it is only available for listening. I'll post an update when it's available.
Back on June 11, I reported that the Supreme Team name would be changing, according to Diddy, because another group was already using the name and he didn't want to affect their business.
On Twitter, Diddy revealed the new name: the Dream Team.
On Twitter, Diddy mentioned that DJ SNS had signed to Bad Boy Management, becoming the second DJ to do so, following DJ Prostyle. Here's what Diddy wrote:
#FF The Best Damn Party Dj Period!!! Is signed to BadBoy Management!!! @DJSNS cause I said so!!
