MTV News' Shaheem Reid spoke with Rick Ross about the Supreme Team name change to the Dream Team. He says that it has to do with Irv Gotti. Watch the clip below.
"Shout out to Irv Gotti and their whole movement, they've been repping the Supreme Team for a minute," he explained. "We were caught up in the moment; it just fit the situation so good. We kinda just did our crew thing and ran with it. [The name] got hot in the streets. I think it was only right, us being entrepreneurs coming from the same place, representing the same game, being brothers.
Laura Snapes of The Quietus has an interview with Janelle Monae.
We've not got a lot of time, so I'm going to cut to the chase. Can you tell me about the atmosphere you grew up in, and what Kansas is like in terms of creativity?
JM: In Kansas, I was heavily involved in the arts – musical theatre, theatre, a capella choir – you name it. I was a young playwright as well, I would write plays. I was one of 12 kids at the Coterie Theatre to write at the Young Playwrights' Round Table. Art is my sixth sense, and it led me to New York. I was able to hone my craft there and it kept me out of trouble, so I didn't use my creativity to do any bad things, because… because you can creatively be good at doing some crazy things in the world. So I was busy with musical theatre, and writing, and focusing on me being an artist that inspires people and heals people. And that led me to the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York.
The Diddy/Dirty Money website has audio from Diddy's recent appearance on "Big Boy's Neighborhood" on Power 106. It's just a quick appearance and there isn't anything newsworthy. They discuss Dirty Money's appearance at Powerhouse 2010.
Back when the music video to Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning (Remix)" premiered (thanks for the retweets, Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross!), the audio on the clip was off - the vocals were not in sync with the clip.
Subsequently, that clip was removed. But, after it's premiere on BET's "106 & Park, it's back online. And the audio is fixed. Check it out below.
