According to Soundslam, 8 Ball will be releasing a solo album off of 8Ways Entertainment (8 Ball's own company). It's titled "Light Up the Bomb" and it's available for
pre-order on Amazon.com. MJG is slated to guest on 3 tracks.
CRAVE ONLINE has an interview with 8 Ball:
Crave Online: With MJ, you two are about to drop your seventh group release, and second for Bad Boy Entertainment. How does this new project measure up to previous 8 Ball & MJG efforts?
Eightball: Man, it’s just, like to me, it’s one of the best 8 Ball & MJG albums that we’ve done in a long time. It’s like a combination of all our best stuff. It’s just gritty! The tracks, the music, is extra big –- They extra big on this album. It’s just a real good 8 Ball & MJG album.
Crave Online: You named the new CD, Ridin’ High. Why?
Eightball: I don’t know, man. I think we just…I think everything has just been tight on this album. Like we went all the way gritty, (just) like we wanted to go. And, I think the big difference on this album might be the production. It’s gritty, it’s underground, but the drums are so big on every song, like, we really tried to make some sh*t that was gonna bang in the trunk and bang in the club.
The
official site has 8 Ball & MJG's release date listed as "coming soon" now instead of September 26. At least one CD selling site I've seen has their release date as January now. We'll have to see...
Brendan Frederick at XXLMAG.com has a review of Ball and G's upcoming album:
Reminiscent of their 1993 debut, Comin’ Out Hard, Ball & G’s latest effort highlights their mastery of the art of storytelling. The synth-seared “Get Low” finds the duo in the middle of a chaotic club shoot-out, while 8Ball uses the B Rock–produced “Memphis” as an opportunity to detail his upbringing (“Orange Mound born, I was torn out my mama womb/Shotgun house, me and mama had the same room”).
It mentions that Jazze Pha, 112 and Three 6 Mafia make appearances.

That's what they have at
Atlantic Street. So, I'm not real sure
what it is. But, let's go with Ridin' High for now.
According to their official site, the album will be released in August. No specific date given. The album title has changed back to True American Pimpin' from Riding High. Personally, I prefer Riding/Ridin' High.
