Complex chatted with veteran music producer Buckwild, who produced Bad Boy songs like The Notorious B.I.G.'s "I Got a Story to Tell," Black Rob's "Whoa" and Faith Evans' "I Love You" (click the songs to see his comments on the making of those records).

In his comments about D.I.T.C.'s "Champagne Thoughts", he also mentioned that Diddy had an interest in managing O.C., a rapper that Buckwild had worked with.

Soul Culture has a very cool interview with former Bad Boy/The Hitmen producer Carl "Chucky" Thompson, discussing the creation of the classic Mary J. Blige album, "My Life." He shares some of the behind the scenes and talks a lot about working with Diddy on the release.

MTV News' Alvin Blanco passed along a report by Page Six of the New York Post, indicating that Diddy is trying to bring Odd Future, led by Tyler, The Creator, to Bad Boy.

Though Tyler has a solo, one album deal with a label, the group Odd Future remains unsigned. Diddy appeared with them at the SXSW Music Festival last month.

The Post article also revealed that Diddy helped set up a meeting between Tyler and Justin Bieber, who he is a big fan of. Tyler talked to MTV about the meeting last month.

Update: This post was an April Fools Joke. I hope that everyone had a fun day!

According to multiple sources at Bad Boy Entertainment and Atlantic Records, Bad Boy Records will soon be changing it's name to Good Boy Records, following disputes between the two companies over ownership of the name.

Back in September of 2009, when Diddy announced his move from Atlantic to Interscope Records, Diddy revealed that Lyor Cohen had allowed him to keep "his name," Bad Boy. Cohen is the Vice Chairman and Chairman and CEO, Recorded Music - Americas and the U.K. for Warner Music Group, Atlantic's parent company.

However, according to one Atlantic source, the use of the name was only intended to extend to Diddy's releases - such as "Last Train to Paris" - and not to artists Diddy would sign to Interscope moving forward. But, with i SQUARE and Cassie both releasing music under "Bad Boy/Interscope," both parties have been actively discussing the point of confusion.

Bad Boy has resolved itself to a name change and that name, says a Bad Boy representative, will be Good Boy Records, playing off of the opposite of Bad Boy. It is unclear who will release the first album under the Good Boy/Interscope banner, but it likely will be i SQUARE, Cassie, Red Cafe or Jeremy Greene.

In line with this, we have changed our logo above and have secured the domain name goodboyblog.com, which we have already begun redirecting to our current content. We will begin to fully transition to this name shortly.

Pam Long, part of the trio that made up former Bad Boy trio Total, is working on a new project and was recently interviewed by I Miss the Old School. She discussed her time with Bad Boy, the group's end, the prospects of a reunion, her relationship with Diddy and her current project. It's a nice blast from the past.

It seems like all interviews with former Bad Boy artists have to include the "how was your relationship with Diddy" question. It's nice to see a mature adult being the one answering it because that doesn't always happen. Check out her website for more.
