The last few months have been a little crazy and, as such, we have been focusing on high level stories - or stories that happened to cross my desk - here at Bad Boy Blog. At the same time, being a comprehensive source, I at least wanted to summarize some of the stories that fell through the cracks during this time. Check out some of them below.
Video: i SQUARE Performs Acapella Version of "Hey Sexy Lady" at VEVO Offices
In November, i SQUARE stopped by the VEVO offices in New York and performed an acapella version of "Hey Sexy Lady." Check out a piece of it below.
On i SQUARE's MySpace profile, you can check out the group's "Sonic Square-rogance" playlist, which includes "a few of [their] favirte songs and artists that inspire who [they] are in [their] creative lives right now." The list, which was featured by MySpace, includes Michael Jackson, Prince, Robyn, Kid Cudi and La Roux, among others.
Below, check out the brand new music video for i SQUARE's "Hey Sexy Lady." Diddy makes a cameo appearance beginning at the 2:33 mark at the mark, as do Diddy Beats (2:25, and numerous points). The video confirms that the group is signed to Bad Boy.
The group is comprised of three males - Mike J, Briddy and 10Bets - and one female, Destiny. According to their Facebook page, they formed in 2009 at Babyface's Brandon Way studios in Los ANgeles. At the time, Mike J was producing and writing and Briddy was interning. Thomas suggested they worked together and the other two members were brought in after that.
The about page on their website lists all of their individual Twitter profiles (collectively, they are @isquaremusic) describes some of their influences and says that the group makes "music that celebrates YOU, and encourages you to have FUN with life."
