Darian Phillips, a sophomore, told Diddy he wanted to be a businessman. When asked about his GPA, Phillips laughed and said it was “above a 2.0.”
Diddy encouraged Phillips to raise it to a 3.0 and told him he would get his phone number to check on his progress.
“I was like, 'Oh my God, it's Diddy,' ” Phillips said. “I'm going to try and raise my grades. I want to be like him.”
