Some folks, like
BBB commenter Meme and myself, are wondering what the set list is for Diddy/Dirty Money's "Coming Home Tour." I'll be at the April 24 show in Norfolk, VA, so I'll know soon enough. It is possible that the set list may vary slightly from gig to gig, as well.
But, now that we have two performances out of the way, most of the song selection is becoming clear, thanks to stories filed by
Jon Bream of the Star Tribune,
Thomas Conner of the Chicago Sun-Times,
Rap-Up.com and especially
Jack Spencer of Gimme Noise.
They are opening the show with a substantial portion of "Last Train to Paris." According to Spencer, it goes in this order: "Intro," "Yeah Yeah You Would," Waka Flocka Flame's "O Let's Do It (Remix)," "A** on the Floor," "Strobe Lights," "Last Night Part 2," "I Hate That You Love Me," "Your Love," "Yesterday," "Angels," "Loving You No More" and "Hate You Now."
Following this, they are paying homage to Sade, who they sampled on the tour exclusive
"No Ordinary Love," which mixes Sade's work with Dirty Money's "Hate You Now." Which is probably why their performance of that song immediately follows "Hate You Now."
They are also covering Prince. I wasn't sure if they were just doing some Prince music in Minneapolis, where Prince is from, but they covered the same song in Chicago, as well, so it may be a regular part of the show. The song they are covering is "Something in the Water (Does Not Compute)."
Next, it is a verse medley of hits. It's a long one. Spencer lists the following:
Diddy's "I Need a Girl, Part 2"
Kanye West's "All of the Lights" (it is unclear what form this takes, given that Diddy didn't appear on this track, update from Spencer:
it wasn't Kanye's verse -
update: it's from
"Another One" by Bugatti Boyz)
Rick Ross' "No. 1"
50 Cent's "I Get Money (Forbes 1-2-3 Billion Dollar Remix)"
Diddy's "It's All About the Benjamins (Remix)"
Mase's "Feel So Good"
112's "Only You"
Jermaine Dupri's "Welcome to Atlanta (Coast 2 Coast Remix)"
DJ Khaled's "All I Do is Win (Remix)"
Diddy's "Bad Boy for Life"
"We Praise You, We Lift You Up" (I'm unclear on what this is, but it might be a
gospel record)
Diddy's "Satisfy You"
The Notorious B.I.G.'s "The World is Filled..."
The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Mo Money Mo Problems"
Update: We now know that among the selection of songs that are being performed, he has also done "Been Around the World," Jim Jones "We Fly High (Remix)," "I Need a Girl, Part 1 (Remix)" and "Victory."
Those Biggie tracks take us to the Biggie tribute, which includes Diddy's "I'll Be Missing You," "One More Chance," "Lovin' You Tonight," Junior M.A.F.I.A.'s "Get Money," "Hypnotize" and "Ten Crack Commandments."
Finally, the show comes to it's conclusion with "Coming Home" and "Hello Good Morning."
I've reached out to Spencer via Twitter to get clarification on a couple of these songs.
But, in any case, that's a lot to pack into an 80 minute show. I can't wait to see it.
