04/08: New Jersey State Police Shut Down Counterfeiting Operation; Confiscate Sean John Labels/Price Tags
NorthJersey.com's The Record reports that, last month, the New Jersey State Police raided and seized the assets of a suspected counterfeiting operation in Passaic, NJ. The story mentions that Sean John was one of the brands that they had, or intended, to counterfeit.
Detectives said they seized more than 15,000 pieces of counterfeit trademark clothing valued at about $1.6 million, involving brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, North Face, Ed Hardy and the NBA. About 100,000 counterfeit trademark neck labels and price tags for trademark companies including Baby Phat, True Religion and Sean John also were confiscated.
