02/24: Bad Boy Collects 5 of First 1,000 #1 Singles on the Billboard Hot 100, Listed T38th Among Labels
Earlier this month, Billboard named it's 1,000th different #1 single on The Billboard Hot 100, the chart that lists the top singles in the country, regardless of genre. In a
break down of labels posted on the Billboard website, Bad Boy was tied for 38th place for the most number ones held by any one label.
Tied for 38th may not seem high, but when you consider that this list goes back to the 1950s and how many labels that have released music since then, it actually is quite impressive.
You can
easily view Bad Boy's Hot 100 history on our Hot 100 History page. Here are the five #1's:
Can't Nobody Hold Me Down by Diddy featuring Mase (1997)
I'll Be Missing You by Diddy featuring Faith Evans and 112 (1997)
Mo Money Mo Problems by The Notorious B.I.G. featuring Diddy and Mase (1997)
Hypnotize by The Notorious B.I.G. (1997)
Shake Ya Tailfeather by Nelly, Diddy and Murphy Lee (2004)
