The last few months have been a little crazy and, as such, we have been focusing on high level stories - or stories that happened to cross my desk - here at Bad Boy Blog. At the same time, being a comprehensive source, I at least wanted to summarize some of the stories that fell through the cracks during this time. Check out some of them below.
Janelle Monae Performs Live and Chats with NPR's "World Cafe"
Mone puts her singular ambition down to her background. "I come from a family who create nothing into something, that's just in my blood," she says. "I don't want to take this for granted and act like it's not a big deal because a lot of people don't get to make it. My job right now is to reach as many people as possible. I believe in the greater cause. I see the freedom in what I'm doing and how great and life-changing it can be. So a holiday? Pfft! I'll do that later."
Janelle Monae to Perform at 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards
In January, Janelle Monae was added to the list of performers at the 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards. According to MTV, she will perform as part of a trio with B.o.B. and Bruno Mars. The show will air on CBS on February 13 at 8 PM ET.
Janelle Monae to Appear in Cee-Lo Green's "Bodies" Music Video
Rap-Up.com reports that Janelle Monae will appear in the visual for Cee-Lo Green's "Bodies," directed by Mikael Colombu. Kerry Washington and fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld also make appearances. In December, Monae met Lagerfeld, who praised the singer. Check out the trailer below.
