12/03: Janelle Monae Featured in Big Ten Women's Basketball PSA (Video)
Janelle Monae will be featured in an upcoming public service announcement on behalf of the Big Ten Women's basketball conference. It will premiere on Sunday on the Big Ten Network and will air on that network, CBS Sports and ESPN2 during the 2010-2011 basketball season.
"I appreciate basketball," Monae said in a press release. "I love the teamwork and their rhythm and coordination. When I was making Tightrope, I wanted it to be a very empowering song, and I've always looked at it as an empowering song for those in the sports and music because there are so many highs and lows to what it is that we do and we have to keep our balance in it all."
