08/01: Report: "American Idol" Judge Decision Has Been Made, Will Be Revealed Monday
A source told
TVGuide.com's Stephen Battaglio that FOX and 19 Entertainment, the production company behind "American Idol," that a decision has been made regarding Simon Cowell's replacement on the show. Further, an announcement will be made during FOX's Television Critics Association summer press event on August 2.
Battaglio indicates that there could be multiple announcements made, even a complete overhaul of the judge lineup.
Back in May,
Diddy expressed his interest in becoming a judge on the show and, in June,
we launched a new Diddy For Idol mini-site to promote the effort.
